Help with custom content?

Ok, Sometimes when I try to download custom content (mainly with hair) when I go to it with my game, the hair is just a normal black hair. One that is already in the game. Maybe there is something wrong with the file.

Any suggestions of why it is doing it, or anything I can do to fix it.

Are you making sure that you are downloading a mesh as well? If custom items need a mesh that didn't come with the game and you don't have it then the downloads will be automatically replaced with MAXIS content. Quite a lot of custom hair usually requires the download of a mesh as well.

Thank you I shall check. I bet that is what is wrong. Some hair I downloaded said Mesh in the description of the file, and they work.

Yeah, usually the MESH files will be seperate to the texture files.
