I swim 3 miles 4 times a week and have a meet this weekend! and am trying to get my 50 free time down to 25 flat so our relay team can go to Far Westerns

I swim nicely but I don't think I have the enogh resistance to swim 3 miles.... I've never tried but one day I will whee I think I can if I don't start using all of my strenght since the beginning as I normally do when I play races with my friends, but by having a calm rythm, otherwise I won't last.
