Entwined

[Violet the mystical]

What would the planet be without earth?
What would the galaxy be without planets?
Could it be that we are all entwined with the very darkness,
that covers us all in the night sky?

Its brother light came first,
since light is needed to create darkness.
Light entwined with darkness is needed to create the other brother shadow.
Shadow is the youngest of light and dark.
Without shadow, how would we hide?
Oh, how would we hide our sins and sorrows?

The fact of life is simple.
We are not pure hearted, none of us are.
Even though we prey to god, darkness is in our hearts.
Even if we don't won't it t be.
Control that power, and it will bring great good to us all.

In this use "prey" should be spelled "pray." "Prey" would be a hunted animal or victimizing someone, "pray" is when you offer prayers up to God. Unless it was meant as a play on words?
The second to last line is supposed to say "Even if we don't want it to be"?
