Noooo! The disc isnt working!

So last night i put in the seasons disc and it told me to "insert the sims 2 seasons and click ok" BUT IT WAS IN!
Can iplay it with any other disc or is there a way to play it wihtout the disc?
I dont want to uninstall seasons and i dont want to haev to buy it again.... maybe i can exchange it....

Playing the game without a disc is illegal and anybody that suggests to kittyprincess190 how to do so will get a formal warning.
I personally would try to get the discs exchanged.

That's ok. I don't think its actually mentioned in the guild rules. I'll have to ask LadyVina about that.

You may end up having to reinstall unless you just bought it. If you just bought it and it says that it might be a defective disc.

i have played it before so i tried uninstalling it. I tried another disc on my laptop and now i think its the laptop's problem, so i have to get it fixed.... im not going to be able to play the sims for a while...

it works now! i re-installed it but now there isnt an EA games folder in My documents, any ideas why?

wrong. It now says the disc isnt in! it can read the disc until i go to play the game i guess. i uninstalled all the sims, now ill go re-install them.... i hope i can play them agian crying

Let us know how it goes. It might be worth you having a look over at modthesims2.com and searching through their tech help section.

This sounds totally and utterly retarted, but check if you are putting in the FIRST Cd instead of the SECOND.

D: I went through absolute hell for about a week before I realized I was using the wrong CD.

Or it could be a defect. My old Uni was gonk

i was using hte right disc....
I should have said this a while ago, but it was my laptop that had problems, i installed it on my home computer blaugh
