Between the UK and the US versions I mean...

does anyone know? Ive always wanted to read the UK versions just to see what exactly is different... Is it just the slang and stuff? I mean, I get most of UK slang so would it just be the same for me?

i dont think they are very different.
i think like you said the slang is different. oh and the fount covers!

the differentce is in the adult versions compaired to the kids, they somoetimes have more pages, coz they have a bit more detail, and maybe a bit more gore!

Well, the covers are vastly different because the U.S. editions have a different illustrator than the U.K. ones..

In the first book, the U.S. edition was more "Americanized" with the changing of "mum" to "mom". But, for the other U.S. editions, the slang and such wasn't really changed at all, except for "jumper" to "sweater" to avoid confusion.

@ blue crash: I don't think they would leave things like that out of the kids' edition, would they? >>;

Actually, only the first book's title is a bit different. I think everyone knows by now that in England, it's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I have the U.K. versions and the American versions, and like others have said, just some of the slang is different.
