To be entirely honest, I'm writing down some of the suggestions in this thread as we speak! My chance to improve my literary resume!
But I do have a few to add, such as: The Call of the Wild, Jack London, White Fang, also by Jack London, and Treasure Island, attributed to Robert Louis Stevenson.
Those are just the classics that come to mind, however. If you want some stories, or even series, that are a bit more recent, PM me, and I'd be glad to share some of my favorites with you!
