do u start with eyes when u do anime?

I 1st draw Face and hair. Then Eyes, is best way.

I start with the eyes because everything just starts to be proportionately correct from there. I have tried other ways though, especially if I want a certain face shape for the character. It all depends on how you want the character to turn out and what's easiest for you.

I usually do the outline of the head and then the eyes or hair. But whenever I do hair before eyes I have to erase it when I screw up the eyes, so I try not to do that.

I start with the nose, as odd as it sounds. From there I go onto the profile or side of the face. I go off of those two things to determine where I should draw the eyes and how large they should be.
