Why didn't... I ask... ?

Well, this sucks.

So there's this guy I wanted to ask to prom. (A senior.)
I wanted to go with him just as a buddy, you know? Friends. But also maybe as a "date" on his part.

Well at first he didn't know if he wanted to go. Then, I wanted to ask him if he would go with me. But who am I to ask him to HIS senior prom?

So I didn't say anything.
Now he's going with this girl that EVERYONE-including himself-KNOWS he'd rather not go with. He's looking forward to it but at the same time she bugs him a little... well, quite a bit.

If he had asked me, I would have said yes; If I had asked him, I know he would have said yes.
It was so close, too.

A couple days ago in class... I could feel it.
One of us was ABOUT to ask but then the bell rang. We just kinda stood ******** mean, I also don't want him to get attached to me because he's going to boot camp in 2.5 months. (He's going into the Marines.)


So why didn't I ask?

Prom is tomorrow... I failed.
Isn't that a sad story?

Unfortunately, that s**t is expensive so I ate some Subway and read in the bathtub that night.

@ Dr[[Acula]]: Yeah. Well, today I asked him how prom was and he said it was "okay."
Then I told him I wanted to go. He was like, "Aw, I would've danced with you."

xD I can't dance.
But anyway, then I told him I was going to ask him but never did.
And he was like, "Why not? I would have said yes! I didn't have a date until Thursday!"

But we made a deal that if he was in town next year (since he'll be in the Marines) he'd go with me. XDD

My friend used to be in band.
They have fundraisers where you buy like 293489237492 subway coupons for $10.

You get a 12" (or two different 6"s) and a 32. oz drink for $5.56. Lmao.
