Well they didn't really leave it open, although it could be continued, I think it would just kill it if they continued, maybe an OVA or something would be nice though.

Well, many of these things are easy to answer, actually...
For one, talk has been made of the movies Blood+ (Live Action Movie, title pending) and Blood+: Dual Destiny (Animated Movie, True Title Pending). It can be easilly taken that Saya will once again awaken since Haji leaves a flower at her resting place, seeing as he is still alive, it's likely that Saya will not die (or eternally sleep)... As for the Live Action Movie, it's not completely clear what time in Saya's life it will be focused on... But it seems that it will be focused around Saya's last few years in the series, before and after she takes on Diva... Though there will be plenty of flashbacks if that is the case.
Anyhow, that's what I have to say about this... As for what becomes of the twins, they will likely...
A.) Be seperated by Red Shield and repeat the cycle that caused their mother's undoing.
B.) Be united, then realize Saya killed their mother, likely coming after her once she awakens.
C.) Be united, then realize Saya killed their mother. One will take the side of Saya and one will try to avenge Diva.
or D.) Be united, then realize Saya killed their mother. They will accept it and soon bond with Saya as if she was their new mom.
I doubt the last one will occur, but I believe option 'C' is most likely to happen.

sharkgrrl2000 well there is a manga that is set after the anime..... confused No there isn't ^^ there are 3 mangas. Blood+ (forgot the titles) Blood+ Adagio Blood+ (the manga set of the TV series) I haven't seen one set after the anime though >.>

There isn't one set after the anime. As D-i-v-a said, there are three.
One is the official adaption of the series and the other two take place before the events of the series.
