I am in the process of finishing my first full crocheted blanket!!! YAY!!!!

But first, I have a question for everyone. As you can see from the pictures, the blanket contains more purple and gray than blue and green. One skein more of each, to be persice. Which means I now have leftovers of blue and green.

My though here is- I'm currently finishing up the single st black border- its more than half way done right now. I've been trying to decide on how to finish the border work, though. Should I leave it at just the one row of black? Do multiple rows of black (pattern in dc's)? Or a row of green (dc), row of black (sc), row of blue )dc), then one last row of black (sc)?

My personal preference is for the colored stripes, but that's just me.

I do another row of say the scallop stitch along the outside of the blanket- it'd kind of make it look like the whole quilt is a single square, and give some interest to the edge.

Or do crossed double crochet: skip the st you would normally DC in and DC in the next st, then do the second DC back in the first st that you skipped.

Try it! It's a lot of fun and looks interesting.

I like the idea of color stripes to bring the whole thing together
