Okay guys, I've noticed a couple of threads here already, and I want to ask would you please put your questions in the thread titles? That way people who wanna seek solution similar to your problems or those who knew the answers to your questions can easily identify your thread.

Looked at the MTS2, it isn't anything like that...
So i say no?

I know you can change it using SimPE, or if they're a child you can get other sims to encourage them.

Or you can use the boolprop cheat.
When you are in the neighbourhood view open the cheats panel and type in "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true" (without quote marks)
Enter the house with the grouchy Sim.
Go to the personality panel and you should be able to click and drag the personality to whatever you want. This wont be a genetic change though so any children he has will have a chance of getting his single grouchy point.

If you use SimPE, as Chikiya suggested, then you CAN change the genetic value as well.
