What do you guys prefer? Japanese Anime or american cartoons?

I am can't really pick. Both have their pros and cons.
Cartoons tend to have way more episodes (unlike the general 26 episodes per series that animes tend to have as far as I am aware.)
But the characters in cartoons aren't usually as developed or have as much of an actual personality in cartoons as they do more so in anime. Also, the characters in anime are better designed and more realistic than cartoons. And from what I've seen, when cartoons try to make their characters realistic, it ends up just looking kind of awkward.
and personally, I find that animes tend to have better stories and have better humor in them. But with animes it is easier to get bored of a specific one as alot of them don't have all that many episodes (at least, the ones I watch don't).
One thing I really like about anime is that they tend to have better music. Alot of their theme songs are better in my opinion and it's cool how a lot of animes have soundtracks and have full versions of their theme songs.
If I'd have to pick, I guess I would go with anime.

I'm a big anime fan, my favorites are the ones that make little to no sense when they are translated to engrish -snickers-
I also love the action packed ones that have a sutble love story underneath (heres lookin at you inuyasha)
