Welcome 2007 Cedar Point Employees! Cedar Point prides itself on high orientation training standards to develop the best performing employees. As a new employee, there is much to learn about our company and the job you will perform. Company Orientation Training, Parts 1 & 2 are REQUIRED for employees of Cedar Point. You will be paid for completing all training modules. For training purposes, there are two types of employees: · NEW employees, who did not work for Cedar Point in 2006. · RETURNING employees, who worked for Cedar Point in 2006. Company Training Requirements · NEW employees must complete Part 1: Empowered by Policies online training and Part 2: Building Foundations & Delivering Outstanding Guest Care. Failure to successfully complete Part 1 training results in a forfeiture of any employee bonus pay. · RETURNING employees must complete Part 1: Empowered by Policies online training each year. Failure to fully complete Part 1 training results in a forfeiture of any employee bonus pay. Part 1: Empowered by Policies online Training Empowered by Policies online training (2 hrs.) acquaints employees with Cedar Point’s standard policies and practices to help make their job experience rich and successful. Policies discussed include: Open Door, Grooming, Harassment, Drug & Alcohol. In addition, Good character practices, recognition programs and updates about what’s new at Cedar Point for 2007 are presented. Employees must earn an online examination score of at least 80% to pass the course. A score of less than 80% requires employees to take a live Part 1 training class, scheduled by Human Resources. Failure to fully complete Part 1 training results in a forfeiture of any employee bonus pay. NOTE: All employees are required to successfully complete Part 1: Empowered by Policies Training no later than 30 days after their actual starting date for work. Failure to do so will cause their Cedar Point ID to be invalidated. When IDs are invalidated, employees are unable to gain admittance to the park or clock in for work. To avoid these problems, please fully complete Part 1 training no later than 30 days after you begin work. Call ***-***-**** with questions. Part 2: Building Foundations & Delivering Outstanding Guest Care Training This popular program (4.5 hrs.) will help all new employees to become an informed and competent team member, ready for work with our guests. The company’s culture, structure & safety principles are reviewed. Employees will practice critical service skills including: greeting, dealing with difficult guests, enforcing rules with courtesy and giving directions. There is a 2- mile guided walking tour of the entire park. Please dress for the weather; wear layers and comfortable walking Shoes. Persons who have difficulty walking will receive an indoor classroom version of the tour. Eat a meal before coming to class (no food served). Employees are scheduled for class when they process-in for work. This was what I had to do for Cedar Point!!
