"Eva Renold." The teacher called. Eva waled up to the podium to give her speech. "Hello everyone and welcome. My name is Eva Renold and I would like to give a spech on this occasion." Her eyes seached over the crowd. There. The Mr. and Mrs. Martin, with baby Ryan and little Ann. They were Alison's family and Eva's intended audience. "It seems like only yesterday Alison and walked through the school gates, hand in hand, intimidated by all the big seniors. After all, we were only freshmen. But through the years we have faced many obsticles, and even been pitted against each other. But we overcame it each time and we have always been there for each other. That is why it is such a sad day for us. Tommorow, our last day of school will seperate us, try to make us stand on our own." Eva turned to face Alison, who was crying. She faced the audience again. "We may never see each other again, we may even cease to contact each other, but we will never forget the many happy years in high school we shared with eachother. I just thought I would make this speech in her honor. Alison, you are my best friend and i thank you for all those wonderful years. I miss you already." Eva bowed to the crowd and walked back to her seat. On her way back she noticed Alison's seat was empty; she had been crying so much she had to leave the auditorium. Later that day Eva went to the Martin household. Alison answered the door. "Hello Eva, come in." She said. They spent the entire time talking and plannning. It would be the best time in their friendship, because they got to re-live it.
To my two best friends in the entire world, I will never forget you.
love, Shavonne
