A boy dreams that some day he will meet the girl of his dreams and love her for the rest of his life. What he doesn't realize is that whatever he tries to do he will never be with the one he loves. He tries his best to do everything he can for her but it's not enough to keep her happy. For days they tell each other they will meet and become the couple they've always dreamed of, but then something happens. The girl tells the boy she is not happy and something is wrong. He tries pleasing her by buying things for her, sending her his love with letters, anything he can do to please her but nothing works. She tells him all the things are nice but it's not enough. Finally the boy rounds up enough courage to ask saying, "How come everything I do for you doesn't please you? Is there something that I've done to hurt you?" The girl hesitates at first but looks up at him with tears in her eyes, ".....All that you have given me was enough to keep me going till now." "Then what is it that you truly want?" The boy says, but the girl only cries more. "The only thing I truly want from you.....is you. To be with you is all I want" Shocked to hear her answer, the boy sheads a small tear. "I want to be with you too, but you know it isn't possible right now, not when things aren't going well." Days went by and the girl began to lose the love she once had for him and without her knowing the boy was trying his best to do anything he could to see her. When he finally went to go see her, she wasn't there, someone else had taken his spot in her heart. He finally knew that his love was never destined to be, there for he went living on a broken hearted man for the rest of his life like he once did before.
But what the boy didn't notice, is that it wasn't how many things he gave her, or how many letters that he sent her, but that HE loved her. And she loved him for it. She was happy, even though she was sad sometimes because she missed him so much. Her love never faded away for him, it never flickered, not once. Sometimes all she could do is sit and wait. She knew he had hard times, and a busy life. She only wanted to be there for him. She had never let anyone else into her life, she had even given up chances to be a prince's bride for him. She was always there...but the only problem was, was that the boy became blind. When he looked for her, all he could see is the darkness and misery in his way. Someimes, if he looked just right, he could make out a small light. It was her, just waiting for him again. But he couldn't tell, so he thought she was gone forever and went to go sit in his darkness. Even though he thought he was alone, she was really there, right behind him the whole time.
