Chapter Twelve: (Chapter Title Below)
“I wouldn’t put on a disguise for just anyone, babe.”
– Happy Bunny: Love Bites

Sorry but it wouldn't fit >.<

~

A couple of days have passed and the girl’s lives went almost back to the way they were before. The only difference was that only one of them had a boyfriend, instead of two of them. And Becky and Luis have been going out since, like, the fourth grade.
But since I am the God of this world, somewhat like Jesus in a skirt, I shall make things all better. Or should I?
Beware, my friends, beware.
~
Isabel shivered as she suddenly got the goose bumps.
“What wrong?” Skyla asked with a mouthful of toast.
“Nothing just got the chills, kinda like someone was treating my existence.” Isabel looked around her, trying to see if anyone was glaring daggers at her. But she only found the person that did it everyday.
Pansy Parkins.
“Ohmigod Bell, don’t move! Draco’s looking at you! Look sexy!” Skyla yelled in a whisper.
“I’m eating waffles! How am I supposed to do that?”
“Put syrup on ‘em! Then take a bite!” Skyla suggested.
There’s a time and point in everyone’s life, where to us seems utterly stupid but to them seemed right in that one moment, that we do the unthinkable.
So, Isabel rolled up her thick waffle, which had syrup dripping out of it, and stuffed it in her mouth. She was watching Draco from the corner of her eye and as far as she could see, his eyes got wide. But it only lasted for a second because soon after that he said goodbye to his friends and left the Great Hall. Making sure his books were in a nice spot.
“How’d I look?” Isabel asked Skyla.
“Very sexy.” She smirked.
~
Lynn sat at her desk in Charms when she got the feeling someone was watching her. She looked behind her but everyone either was sleeping or taking notes. Then she caught Harry’s eye and he smiled at her with his pretty green eyes.
Wait pretty green eyes? When the heck did I start thinking that? Lynn thought as she stared at him. She soon realized that she was making a face at him at quickly turned back to the front. She felt her cheeks heat up but luckily, it didn’t show. Though her face might have given it away.
As Lynn was staring at her paper (parchment whatever) she starting thinking about what Mae had said only a few days earlier.
“You know Harry Potter?” Mae asked as they walked down the hallway.
“Yeah a bit, why?”
“I hear he likes Asians.”
“MAE!”
“Sorry just thought you ought to know.”
“Why?!”
“Well because, you know, he’s kind of cute.”
“So?”
“Just helping you shop for a new boy toy.”
“Maybe I don’t want to have a new boy toy yet! I mean, what happen with Lucas is more then enough to make a girl go gay.”
“I don’t think The Harry Potter would do something like Lucas did. He’s like a freakin’ superhero!”
“Whatever.”
“Just saying. You know he can sing?”
“Really?”

Oh no, I am not liking a new boy. No, no, no, no, no.
But even though Lynn was repeating the world no over and over in her head, she was imagining Harry smiling, and Harry talking, and even Harry pushing his hair back.
~
Mae was walking from her 5th block class to dinner when someone stopped her and pulled her into a deserted hall way.
It was Troy Blare.
“I’m sorry; I just saw you and acted. I didn’t mean to scare you.” He said while Mae was trying to breath normally again.
“It’s OK, happens to me all the time.” No it doesn’t.
“You see, I wanted to clear up what had happen weeks ago. I’m sure you thought you saw Cho and Lucas together but Cho wouldn’t cheat on me—“
“Troy shut up and listen to my side.”
He shut up.
“My friends and I were walking and we heard a noise. We thought we could just have a little fun. But when my best friend’s boyfriend comes out with The Wh- I mean Cho, I put two and two together. Maybe your two and two equals fish but mine says that they were having ‘fun’ in that broom closet or whatever it was. Now I--“
But this time Mae was shut up by a kiss from no other then the man in front of her.
He grabbed her wrist and pinned her against the cold stone wall. The kiss only lasted a couple of seconds but it sure didn’t feel that long. Mae thought it should have been longer.
When Troy pulled away, he was breathing hard. Mae looked down at his chest, knowing her face was really red and didn’t want to show it. But she could feel his blue eyes boring in to her. Finally he said:
“I’m really sorry. . . I just . . . I didn’t mean to . . .”
He’s sorry . . .? He’s sorry that he kissed me? Am I that horrible to kiss?
He was still rambling when Mae shut him up, for the final time. “Dude it’s OK. It was just a moment thing. Man if I was a guy I would want to kiss me.” Mae joked as she smiled her lie to him. He bought it with an open heart.
“So you understand?” He asked.
“Totally.”
“Thanks Mae, I’m . . . I’m really glad we’re friends.” Troy hesitantly let go of Mae’s wrist and backed up. “Later Mae.”
“Yeah, later Troy.” Mae whispered as he began walking away. A little thing inside of her was telling her to make him change his mind about her. To leave Cho and be with her. That she’ll be a better girlfriend then The Whore would ever be. But if she did that, what if she turned in to The Whore?
Even as Mae slid down the wall, Troy didn’t turn around.
~
Draco was watching Isabel down the table. After this morning’s incident, Draco knew that he should ask Isabel out. She was sitting in the same spot with her black friend, Skela or something, sitting across from her.
Draco liked watching Isabel do her everyday things. She sometimes didn’t want to do something but she would always brave through it and did it anyways. He also like the way her blonde hair would glitter in the sun. Or how her eyes were a light shade of sky blue. Not icy like his but a soft color.
There was only one problem: she sometimes hung out with a Gryffindor. A pretty weird one at that. (Screw you) He didn’t mind the Ravenclaw one or the Hufflepuff one that much. He only hated them a little because they were hanging out with her when he wanted to. But the Gryffindor was a different story. No girl of his would be friends with a lion.
Oh no, he make sure that she’ll be pure serpent.
~
Harry sat with Ron and Hermione around the Gryffindor fire. He was thinking about (drum roll please) Lynn and how she had smiled at him today. He felt giggly and gushy. He hated to admit it, but kind of like how Cho had made him feel when he first saw her. But Cho was over and done with, that crazy, psycho woman.
He noticed that Ron and Hermione were trying to make small talk between them. Harry found it quite the show. They couldn’t say anything to each other with showing at least a bit of a blush. They were in the couch across from him so he had a pretty god view to watch it. They probably noticed they like each other last year. Probably when they were fighting at the . . .
Oh god, Sirius.
Harry leaned his head against the couch, tightly shut his eyes and tried his best not to think about him. He was doing well so far in the year; his lessons with Dumbledore had become better too. But every once and a while it would hit and the pain would come back. The sharp pain.
Suddenly there was a quick pain in his head kind of like someone had flicked him.
Someone had.
He opened his eyes to see Mae above him, who was holding something over her shoulder. She was looking at him with one eyebrow raised and remained still even though the thing on her back was kicking and screaming, trying to get loose.
“Was that necessary?” He asked.
“Very much so.” She said back. Mae walked around the couch, swung the thing off of her shoulder, and sat down next to him. The thing turned out to be the first year that was always following her around. The first year climbed up on Mae’s lap and looked like she was trying to beat Mae at an arm race but she was failing and throwing an hissing fit about it. Wow, Harry thought, she’s a first year but she’s acting like she’s in the first grade.
“So what’s with the constipated look you just had?” Mae asked, not looking at him. She was watching Blondelle struggle with getting her hands free from Mae’s grasp.
“Nothing.” Harry defended.
“Bull.” Mae looked at him with her olive green eyes and he knew that she could see right through him. “Since you can’t talk to the lovers over there,” she nodded towards Ron and Hermione, who were still attempting the small talk, “you look like you should talk to at least someone.” She twisted Blondelle around so her arms were across her small chest and she was trapped from escaping. “Even if that someone is me.” She grinned.
It took a couple of seconds before he said anything. “My godfather died last year because of me. And some of my friends could have died too . . .”
“And you’re afraid to hurt Lynn?” Harry knew she could see through him. “Harry let me tell you something.” She was now using the small girl’s arms as her own. “Lynn can very well take care of herself. I know that if she was ever going to get hurt by love or have love hurt her, she still going to love. That is just who Lynn is. And if she wants to do something stupid, which I don’t think she will since she didn’t even climb up half a wall at my 15th birthday party, then it’s her choice and all I can do as her friend is help her through it, even if I don’t approve of it.
Now you,” She pointed the girls hand at him, “I approve of. You’re way better then Lucas ever could be and even Jesse. Even though Jesse is kind of fruity. But you on the other hand, you’re different then them. From what I know, you’ll take care of her and be there when she needs it. And she can even help you if you need it. And come on, who couldn’t use a little bit of love every now and then?”
Harry sat there, soaking everything in.
“And another thing, the whole “My godfather died last year because of me” bullshit, you need to get over that.” Harry looked at her with wide eyes.
“Excuse me but—“
“Now wait till I finish before you get all antsy-pantsy. I’m sorry you lost your godfather, really am. But if you gonna blame yourself for his death then you are not going to get anywhere. You can still love him in your heart or whatever but trying to hang on to the past just makes people sad. And only weirdoes want to sad.
Plus you have a couple of ways to look at this. One: If he hadn’t died, who would you be today? That whole “Be Yourself and Never Change” is bullcrap. No one can ever be themselves because every body is changing everyday. No one can wake up the same person they were yesterday. But sometimes the changes are so small, nobody notices them. And sometimes, they’re huge.
Two: Would you’re godfather be happy that you’re sitting here mopping when you should be planning on how to win the heart of one of my best friends? I don’t know anyone who would be happy with that
And three: You might lose this war if he hadn’t died.” Mae’s voice got softer now. “Sure, it’s sad to lose someone you care about, but its life and you have to be strong and move on. Here’s where it gets tricky. You have to move on from what happen to them but you can’t move on without them. If you forget them, then you forget pain and then you won’t be able to fight Voldy. So instead of blaming yourself, use not the pain on yourself but instead use it to beat the crap out of Voldemort.” She looked at him and smiled. “That’s what the strong do to win their battles.”
Harry felt stupid for saying it but he had nothing else to say: “Thank you, Mae. I’m glad I know you.”
It took a second for Mae to smile back, but she just said, “Don’t thank me; you just better give Lynn a good time. That could be my thanks.” Mae looked down to see that, at some time in her speech, Blondelle had fallen asleep. Harry noticed that it was just them in the Common room, that Ron and Hermione must have left.
“So how are you going to do it?” Mae asked quietly, trying not to wake up the sleeping girl in her arms.
“Do what?”
“Tell Lynn, duh.”
“I don’t know. Hogsmead is coming so I could ask her out to that.”
“Oh I know, we could write a phone number on one of her things and then she calls that number and then they give her a another number that leads to you and you do a whole mysterious thing.”
“Or I could just tell her the old fashion way.” Harry shrugged.
“Fine then, be a boring boyfriend.”
~
Troy went up to his room and on one of his post, there was a picture. He took the picture off of the post and began watching it. And there it was, Cho coming out of the closet with Lucas. It replayed the scene over and over, as if it wanted him to know he just made the biggest mistake of his life.
Oh, no.
