i totally agree, i believe its annoying when the noobs (mostly) ask for gold instead of working for it, it shows an extreme lack of class-.

You forgot to add:
Journals - Commenting in Friends Journals
Surfing - just surfing the Gaia website will earn you gold (not a lot but hey it's better than nothing!)
Otherwise you made a pretty complete list of what to do when game/town servers are messed up. cool
