I had the lucky privilege of being able to shadow a surgeon at a hospital for two days. I am only in high school, so an opportunity like this is often unheard of. I was able to observe four surgeries first hand, two of which I had to scrub for (hint: putting on that surgeon's mask is harder than it looks! redface ) Still, it meant getting up at 6:30 am in the morning (during the summer!) crying But in the end, it was well worth it!
