This is the start of chapter 2. Enjoy biggrin
Limrea sat at the table with Kika in her lap the little wolf girl just wouldn't leave her alone, but she didn't mind. She was reminded her of her little cousins back home. Her parents were dead but she still had some family back home. Her mother's sister was nice and had two kids Kika's age, if she ever got back home, would she live with her till she moved out? Limrea's future was now foriegn and uncertain to her. She sighed as Kika bounced on her knees. "So what are you going to do with me now?" Limrea asked. Kootori paused to think. "Well, that's up to you. You're not a prisoner here, just an outsider. We have lost contact with the outside world, so we don't know what your kind is like nowadays." "Oh?" "But the Council and the Sentate will want to meet and talk with you," Kootori continued on. "They will be very curious about you." "Senate? Council?" Limrea echoed, confused and curious by the similiarities of the "Tail People" as Limrea dub them. "Let me start off with the easiest stuff first." Kootori began. "The Council is a group of individuals the clan picks out to lead us. Each clan is of a certain element. I, for example, am of the fire clan, the green fire clan, to be exact. Eirrawan, and Kika, are of the Earth element clan." Limrea raised a hand to get Kootori's attention. "Ah, does the color of the mark mean something different for each clan? I saw a girl with a bird tail, that had a yellow mark like that of Rawan's." Kootori paused a moment. "I do know that she is of the Earth clan, but her powers are different from someone like Eirrawan. Oh how do I explain this so that you can understand our people better." Rawan decided to interrupt the lesson. "My power is rocks and soil." He explained, "that girl's would probably be sand." "Oh, I get it now." "So, now know about the clans better, let's move on." Kootori began again. "From each clan they also pick a group to represent the clan to the other clans, that's the sentate. The council is for the laws for our clans, so that we wouldn't make war on each other." Limrea looked up from Kika in her lap and at Kootori. "War on each other?" Kootori laughed. "Is that so strange? Element of the world fighting for surpremeic?" "No..." Limrea answered slowly. "It's just...shouldn't you live in harmony or something?" "Even paradice has its flaws. Are you feeling up for a walk?" Rawan said standing. Limrea nodded, and helped Kika off her lap. "So what are you going to do with me?" She looked at Kotori. "When the time is right, take you to the sentate." Because of the fact that she didn't have a tail, people looked at her like an outsider, which she was. But before she hadn't noticed that much. Rawan and Kotori explained things to Limrea. Like the differents of the attitudes of each element, in a general scene. They explained the types of jobs in town and on the island. And even a little on the history of their world that they grew up in. Limrea was interested to know about how these people became so isolated from her culture. She felt like she had come to another world, like a parallel dimension because of the similarities that both cultures had. She tried to ask more of what they knew the outside world off their island was like when someone yelled at them to stop. The Small group stopped as a handsome man, that looked just like Rawan, run up to them. Though his eyes were blue he looked like an older verison Rawan, and she blushed at the very thought then chidded herself about it. *I shouldn't have romanic thoughts about the people I just met, Bad Limrea.* "Ah, Elie," Kotori said as the wolf tailed man came up to the vixen and kissed her. "Bro, not in public, please," Rawan moaned, rolling his eyes. Elie turned to him with a half smile. "When you get a girl remind me to say the same to you." Kika ran up to big brother and demanded to be picked up. He did so with a kiss to her forehead. "I was on my break when I saw all of you pass by," he said. "Oh, what do you do?" Limrea asked, suddenly very curious. "I work in the mills at the edge of town." Elie then looked more closely at Limrea. "Are you the outsider I heard about?" "I ...guess so."She blushed nerviously now. "Oh, then you are the one that Dad's going present to the other clans." Limrea looked at him, a little confused now. "Our dad, is a member of the counsil for our clan and the representative in the Sentate as well." Rawan explained for her. "Oh." Limrea said. "So, what's your name?" Elie asked. "Limrea." "well, Limrea, enjoy yourself. I think they should be bring you in before the Senate to see if it is okay for you to stay here. Don't worry," he added when he saw her worried expression. "They do this with all the Outsiders. They just want to make sure that you will not break any laws of our people, while you stay, that's all. Be ready for the arguement that fly up over nothing, polistic is crazy stuff here." "Oookay. Thank you, I think." Limrea felt even more confused. Elie set Kika down and kissed Kootori. "Well, I got to go now. See you all." Limrea watched him go, feeling very lost. Had more people washed up here before her? Did all people from her world that traveled near here were attacked by some unknown force that made them trapped here or did they find the place some other way? And just what did Elie mean by what he said? Limrea was unsure of what to think when something flew towards her. Something hard hit her in the forehead and she back into Eirrawan's arms. "You okay?" He asked in her ear. She blushed and pushed away, "Yeah, fine...Thanks. What hit me?" "An apple," Kootori answered, holding it up for her to see the bright green sphere. From the direction that the apple came from, came shouts and people yelling at one another. A ball of red light shot from someone's hand and was blocked by a blue flash. "Oh great, another petty fight." "That is the thrid one this week," Rawan stated. "I thought you said you don't attack one another." Limrea said. "Lately there has been too much pride in the air. Our clans are no longer listening to our laws, especially the younger generations. If something isn't done soon, we will kill off our own people." Kootori sighed. "Hey, where is Kika?" Rawan asked. "I thought she was..." Kootori looked around and paused mid sentence when she saw the little wolf girl running towards the fight. Kika went to pick up one of the spilt apples, and say "Appl`". She smile as she said it again, proud of herself. She was unaware of the rouge shot of rudy flame was rushing towards her. On impulse, Limrea ran to get little Kika out of harm's way. She threw her arms around Kika knowing she couldn't move fast enough to avoid it but at least she could save Kika. After a moment and nothing happened, Limrea looked up to see a wall of dirt that was shielding her from danger. She looked behind her and saw that Eirrawan's mark was now glowing. When he knew it was safe, he lowered the wall. When Eirrawan had raised the wall, everyone stopped, the fighting and the people shopping. Kootori quickly went to get Limrea and Kika. From the sudden change in attitude, Limera knew something was wrong. She waited until they were heading back to the house. "What'a wrong?" Limrea asked. "Well, there is certain elements we can't use in town. Earthmoving in one." Kootori explained. "Eirrawan, you broke the law, I know what you did was right, but you can be thrown in jail for about a month, if they choose to, or worse." "I couldn't let them get hurt, there was no other choice." "True, but let's just wait and see. The fight had gone too far but there will more that will pay in the end." Kootori signed. "I'll do what I can to keep you out." Limrea looked between them, confused again. "Kootori works for the PeaceKeeper of Wendom, this town." "Why, is earthmoving forbidden?" Limrea asked.
