Canazarihael
Name: Canazarihael
Nickname: Zari
Age: Appears in her early to mid-twenties
Hair: Dark brown, straight, to shoulder, swoop bangs over left eye
Eye Color: Golden
Skin Color: Pale, but not unhealthy
Distinctive Features: Retractable snow-white wings; her clothing isn’t exactly fitting in with the rest of society except at a costume party or a Star Wars Convention
Clothing: Inspired by Jedi Robes, they have a definite Oriental feel to them, with the customary collar-tunic with wide, flowing sleeves; cloth tie belt (with the knot to Zari’s side, under her right arm); baggy pants tucked into cloth looking boots; all of this is white, except for the orange satiny trim of the collar, sides, and bottom hem of the tunic (but not on the sleeves); there’s a lot of loose and flowing cloth to the outfit
Nationality: None, really, but looks more European than anything
Likes: Her job, heckling her opponents, having fun, fighting
Dislikes: Anyone who is not an Angel, the “Dropouts” (how she refers to the Fallen Angels), losing
Personality: Casual, brash, loud, aggressive, always inciting fights, psychotically devoted to her mission, dogmatic, elitist, proud, cocky, not very concerned with who gets in her way, severely polarized in her opinions, blood-thirsty
Expressions: smug/cocky; outraged; blowing an angry, wet raspberry
Weapons: Angelic fire (a sort of pyro-kinesis that allows her to manifest fire in the form of a sword, shield, or a flame)
Song: "Black Bullet" Kidneythieves

History:
Zari is one of the angels in the service of the Creator, a member of the choir of Powers, who were charged with hunting down rogue and renegade angels (Fallen Angels, demons, anything that smelt of Home on Earth) and, mostly, stripping them of their wings (though executions were not uncommon). She was Created for this purpose and is very good at what she does. Her clan, including her older brother Rahael, was formed once Lucifer had declared his intentions to overthrow God (or at least have a say in his future) as a task force for rounding up his followers and making it so that they could never return home. The Powers were said to have killed the greatest number of Fallen on the battlefield than the other choirs. Zari was one of those avenging angels, whose bloody ways were more in keeping with those of the demons in Hell. Once the Powers’ duties were expanded to hunting any abomination in the eyes of God, Zari took to the rather hit-or-miss perception game like a fish to water. In a way, she didn’t care whom she killed, so long as she could shed more damned blood. She was one of those who hated the Great Flood, as the Nephilim killed were not killed by her blade. Eventually, Rahael took control of the clan and separated them into squads, each sent in a grid-like pattern to search the earth. His second in command was Zari, not only because she was strongest (second only to himself) but so he could keep a watch on her wild, destructive ways.

Zari’s mental state could be attributed to the fact that mere seconds after she was Created, she was sent onto the battlefield, where no one would protect a new angel. She learned to kill or be killed from her inception. Though she had had no deep connection with those she sent to Nothingness, she formed the sadly unanswered question of why they were fighting their own, though this was soon buried under layers of her savage joy in battle. It did, however, pain—and scare—her to know that even her kin could Fall. She hunted them down without mercy, perhaps because of the severity of their perceived betrayal. She hated all of the blemishes, the repugnance that these no-longer blessed creatures exuded, and she has hunted them throughout history.

And then she found Adrieal, a half-demon, half-angel hybrid, amusing himself in a field. Smelling the scent of “Fallen” on him, she joyously swooped down to strip his wings. But he was more powerful than she could imagine. After a prolonged battle, she found herself bleeding from a wing, confined to a sphere of flame (which he easily broke through), and largely unconscious. Having, naturally, slandered him to the high Heavens and down to Hell itself during the fight, she was felt by the half-breed to deserve a punishment meted out by justice other than the Creator’s. Adrieal didn’t take her wings. He plucked them. Pulling out feather after feather, he painstakingly humiliated her and caused her pain she had not known in all of her existence. It was a mercy that Rahael found her when he did and healed the damage Adrieal had wrought (though he could not bring the feathers back; that would be a slow, natural process). Though commanded by her brother to let him go, Zari’s rage at being so stripped and disgraced by her own prey would not allow her to just let her body heal. It drove her to seek him out, when she was able, to demand a second trial. But he could not be found. Enraged that he had escaped her, she abandoned her duties as a Power to actively pursue the creature that had stained her honor and, more importantly, her pride.

Still, she seeks him out.
