So Wrong So Right Chapter 1
Chapter One
How can this feel so right?
When I know it’s so wrong?
This feeling inside it makes me so weak
Yet it makes others strong, what is wrong with me?
They were together in a dark room; a wine bottle was sitting on the counter. The moon shown through an open window, lighting their way, it glowed over head. Just outside was a balcony, where crushed rose petals lied.
She wanted to push away, she needed to, and she knew better then to fall for him. He was what she hunted, and he was the dangerous one.
“No don’t.” He whispered his lips lightly teasing hers; he deepened the kiss, gently.
Her mind was screaming at her, kill him, and kill him now! He deserves to die after all the people he’s killed, just do it! Kill him!
I can’t, this feeling is good, and I’ve never felt like this. Not in any man’s arms before.
Not in her fiancé’s, Ken.
Auryon, kill him! It is your job! He has taken so many lives! The lives of your people… It won’t take much to kill him. He stole what was important to you; take what is important to him, his life, and his magic.
“Don’t…don’t push away, Auryon.” He whispered kissing her neck. “You need this.”
“No, I don’t.” She moaned, but she didn’t push away. Gently she reached into her pouch that she always carried with her; she had to get to it, her weapon of choice: a small double edged knife, before he found out what she was doing.
“You don’t really want to kill me, witch hunter.” His voice was husky, and deep.
She could feel his hands searching for her own, to pin her against the wall. Her own body was aching, it was a powerful aching, and this man was making it worse, making her feel weak. She moved gently, causing his mouth to meet with her own
Their mouths met in a dance; slowly she let him open her mouth. He was gentle yet savage, dangerous yet hot, she wanted to continue, but she pulled away suddenly because she had to.
“What, Auryon, am I not man enough for you?” He asked, smirking. “Or is it Ken?”
“Shut up, you b*****d, you don’t know what you’re talking about!” Auryon yelled at him. “You don’t know him.”
“I know that you don’t really love him, that you’re only marrying him because you need the money to support your family, and that it’s an arranged marriage.” He turned his back towards her. “Why else would you come crawling back to me?”
“Shut up! You’re the one who left me, not I left you!” She screamed. “You don’t understand, you couldn’t love me, we came from two different worlds.”
He scoffed and handed her a drink. “You still can’t bring yourself to kill me though, Ryon.”
She shuddered when he called her by her nickname, name that he had used when they’d shared their first night together.
Nothing had happened, she’d pulled away, and told him no, that she couldn’t. But every time he’d whispered her name in the dark, she’d move closer. They had never been intimate; she wouldn’t allow it, not with her position at stake, and for the sake of her family.
If her family had ever found out that she was in love with the one they had sent her out to hunt, she would be disowned. And worse if they knew she was with him, and if she had gotten pregnant, they would kill her and the child, due to the witch blood that ran through the child’s veins. So every time things had gotten too out of hand, she had pushed away.
“Don’t call me that, Kaipo Pritam.” She told him, but she took the glass from him anyway.
“It’s been a while since you called me by my full name, Ryon.” He lifted his glass. “Toast,”
“Toast to what? I came here to kill you and you want to have a drink with me?” She question, irritated.
“To your wedding of course,” He gave her a smile. “Unless there’s been a change of plans…?”
“No,” She sighed sadly.
“If you don’t want to marry him then why are you going to?” he asked swirling the contents in his glass.
“Like you said for the money to help my family and also it’s an arranged marriage, I can’t get out of it.” She replied, lightly drinking her own wine.
“But you don’t love him?”
She got up quickly, “I’ve only loved once. I’ve decided to never love again, I won’t let my heart get broken.”
Kaipo paused; he lowered his shades and looked at her, his eyebrows raised.
“Don’t give me that look.” She replied. “I can’t kill you because of it.”
“Is it because you can’t kill me, or is it because you won’t kill me?” He asked.
“Damn it, Kai, I can’t kill you, I love you, and you walked out on me! I wanted to make a commitment, to throw away my old life to spend a new life with you, and you just threw it away.”
Kaipo winced at her words knowing the painful truth of them. Still he could never tell her why he left it was for her own good. Even now he was aware that he was doing a stupid thing coming back to her at this time. But hearing of her imminent marriage had hurt him deeply he’d never admit it though, not to her not to anyone, only to himself. It was the only reason he had returned to wish her a farewell, he had never meant for anything else to happen. Unfortunately being around her made him react emotionally, and physically; something inside him knew instinctively that she was the only one who could make him complete.
He laughed bitterly. “I merely came to bid you adieu for the last time Ryon, and this is what I get.” He rested his hand on the windowsill not meeting her eyes; he didn’t want her to see the pain in his eyes.
She inhaled sharply “What do you really want from me Kai? Why can’t you just be honest with me for once? Why did you come here, you had to have known that I’d still be affected by you.”
He groaned. “And you don’t think I’m not by you? Every time I’m around you, I lose complete control.”
She stopped and turned to face him, she blinked twice, she couldn’t think of anything to say.
Frustrated he stepped up to the windowsill prepared to leave. “I was wrong to come here. I guess this is goodbye.”
Her eyes teared up she clenched her fists so hard she was sure she had drawn blood from the crescent shapes of her finger nails she had dug into her skin.
“I hate you.” She whispered, glaring at him, her tone an icy one. “I really hate what you do to me. The next time I see you I swear I’ll kill you no holding back next time.”
He stiffened then turned and smiled at her. “Of course; I’ll hold you to that Ryon” once outside he finished his thought “I want you to kill me because I cannot live without you, my beloved.” He wove his hands in an intricate motion to cast the spell to transport himself back to Ryuuichi’s mansion.
