I feel that way sometimes, like now. Where it seems I've done all I can with everyone and everything I know... I've left everyone behind and everyone has left me behind. We pursue our own lives and wants and goals, but we forget about everyone else. Heaven knows I don't really know how to identify with my friends anymore, and it's becoming harder and harder to just talk with them.
<b>But it's not necessarily a bad thing either.</b> It's just a sign that we're growing up, and even if we grow apart, we'll still be friends. <b>I will never forget my friends.</b> I miss many of the ones I've left behind, but it was either that or stay stagnant and unchanging. I'm sure they've progressed with their own lives in the way that would suit them better than it ever would me. We all make new friends along the way, even if they can't replace the others, they become our new support systems.
<b>Support systems</b>... as we get older, we tend to outgrow our troubles and take on new ones. So our old support systems don't always crossover as much as we would like them to. But it's a system o survival, either you have support or you fall. <b>It also comes to reason that although we may have moved on from old problems, it doesn't mean that similar ones won't arise in the future, because they usually do.</b> That's when we fall back on our older support systems.
Isn't it better to be supported on all sides than in just one anyways? I know that I turn to different friends and resources depending on my troubles.
I love everyone dearly, but sometimes, they're better off without me, just I can be better off without them. There are certain ways I want to grow and progress, but that's not always possible when you are involved with certain people.
Sarah for example... I loved her, still do actually, but she started turning in directions that I new I wouldn't and couldn't follow. It broke my heart in all honesty to see her going that way. So I let her go and stepped back, knowing she'd be happier where she was going and that I'd be happier going my way. <b>I never said it was easy and pain-free.</b> I miss her dearly, but I'd rather remember her on how she was rather than where she has gone.
<b>Such is life and its twists and turns. We each have our own path to walk, and although many may be parallel, they rarely continue to be that way for long.
Friends may come and go on every path and walk of life, but they are forever treading within the halls of my heart.</b>
So there it is. Another little piece of me.
