Christmas 2007. A LOT of things to talk about…
Before Christmas:
Its about 10:30 PM right now, I got back form work about an hour ago… Luckily, that was the last Steak Night at the legion so I don’t have to work there anymore (YESS!!!). Anyway, my mom took my little brother out of school early at about noon-ish -- they went up to PA to visit my grandma. She finally got out of the hospital, which is really good. My dad, my big brother and I are leaving either Sunday night, or early Monday morning. He has a “mandatory” party at work that he “absolutely” can't miss on Sunday… So depending on when he’s done will determine when we leave…
After Christmas:
This Christmas wasnt the best this year. I guess it was alright.
This may sound reeeally selfish, but i was sorta angry i didnt get a cell-phone this year. I tried soooo hard not to get my hopes too high, because i knew there was a chance i might not get one. It turns out, i didnt. And, i know, if i complain, my parents will get angry, and blow up on me, because i know they'll say something along the lines of "You have so much to be thankful for... yadda yadda... You got a Wii, so be happy you got that... yadda yadda..." (yes, we did get a Wii). But see, Im usually the odd-ball in my family... I could honestly care less if i got a Wii. #1, because im not much of a video-game player, and #2, because i know that I'll have fun with it for a month or two, and then get bored with it and never play it again. The same thing happened with the boat that my dad just got. (he would say "You have so much to be thankful for... yadda yadda... i take you out tubing, and skiing... yadda yadda..." and still, i could care less if we got the boat.....) it gets really old....
Anyway (that was really selfish, but its good to let it out here...) I had to go to a party on Sunday. Ryan picked me up at about 8:30- 9 PM, and we went home and got read to leave. We finally left, and we got to PA at about 1:30. We slept over at my aunts house. The next morning, we woke up and played with my cousins and left the house at about noon to go to my other aunts house, where we opened presents from family. Again, selfish, but i got a total of 2 gift cards, while my brothers got cash, dvds, toys, candy, etc... we stayed there til about midnight, then we left to my first aunts house, and we went to sleep. The next morning was christmas, and we opened the gifts from santa. I got about 50$ in giftcards (again...) in my stocking, then a Wii, and Guitar Hero 3. Whoop-dee-frikkin-do.
Later that morning, my mom and aunt got in a fight (they were screaming their lungs out at each other... it was CrAzY) which was a TERRIBLE start to the day. after a few tears and curse words later, we left to go to my granparents. There, we opened presents form gramma. It was a nice change, i got a hand-held Su-Do-Ku, which was pretty cool. So i AM thankful for that.
After that, we hung out, and watched my brothers Evan Almighty dvd. We fell asleep to that and woke up the next morning and got ready to leave. After goodbye's, we left at about 2-sh. we came home at about 7, and unpacked.
EDIT: (more selfishness ahead, be prepared). UGH! alright, after we unpacked (which included alot of nagging from my dad and mom, so im a little bit angry to begin with) we opened presents from Mom and Dad. Hoping for another shot at getting a cell phone, i got a pair of boxers, PJ pants, and a hoodie. (oh, btw, my mom goes "Now keep in mind, you got a Wii, so yadda yadda yadda..." before we start to open them.... evil ).
My brothers got clothes, Jake got a stuffed animal that he really wanted, and begged for forever. We finally came to one present, that was for me, Ryan (my older brother) and my dad. Just us. not jake, or mom (well, mom got it for us, so... ) So, we open it, and its a reciept for 4 front row tickets to a Van Halen concert in March. Each one costed 75 dollars, the whole reciept came to 400$.
Throughout the whole time, (while ryans about to piss his pants) im thinking So, you can offord 75$ on a concert ticket to a band that i have ABSOLUTELY no desire to see, $150+ on gift cirtificats, $100+ on a Wii, $50+ on a plastic guitar, and a hoodie from american eagle (so you know its expensive), but you cant get a cell phone thats AT MOST 60$ and service which is AT MOST 20$ a month-- Ive been hinting that ive wanted a cell phone since the 6th grade. they KNOW i am desperate for one... Would you be pissed too? or am i over reacting?????
So, the rest of the night, im trying my hardest not to be "pouty" (as my parents put it...) My parents start to notice im not very happy, so my mom asks me whats wrong. i said nothing... then, my dad leans to her and whispers "i know why, its because he didnt get a cell phone" and smirks. My mom goes "Phfft, did you really think you were going to get a cell phone???" YES!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!!! AS IF I DIDNT DROP ENOUGH HINTS!!!!!
Well, im beyond angry right now. Im really sorry if i sound selfish, but thank god for Journals, cuz i can finally spill.
*Phew* So, i guess i may have raised my hopes a little too high. I guess i have to wait for my birthday...
Christmas on Gaia:

I’ve never done a Christmas Event on Gaia, this was my first year. From what I've heard, and from past events, I knew that you had to go to the shops and carol so and so many times until you got a box. This year, they didn’t do boxes, they just gave you the item. I went through once, and I got all the items except the hat (which was the one I was looking forward to getting). So I had do go back and re-do the whole thing AGAIN. But it was okay, because I'm probably going to sell the extra ones I get anyway…
Orphans:
This event was really weird… It made NO sense WHAT-SO-EVER. And the poor orphans were so depressed, it was pathetic!! My orphans were saying things like “Please forgive my rudeness! I seem to have tracked the dust of my poverty all over your nice things” or “Fish heads are probably too good for someone so undeserving as me...” What’s the fun in that?? Plus, the orphans were either annoying, fat, or plain ULGY. I didn’t quite understand how orphans fit into Christmas… (this was funny XD)
Anyway, I did eventually get all the items from that. I was kinda disappointed, because the Halloween event took WAY longer than the Christmas one did… and you got more items with the Halloween event… Well, with the new 12 Days of Christmas, I guess its not so bad…
All in all, Christmas is looking good this year (as always, and as it should).
