Brunzo, the Leeching Phantasm Guard
Brunzo is a decorated bronze bracer that was made for the slender arm of wizards. Once put on, it doesn't come off. Decorated around its bronze surface are acts of hieroglyphics. Telling the story of when a man in need of the ultimate shield to protect his loved ones, he made a pact with the god Xerxas. He was given the bracer, that would bring up a shield of bright light around his arm and protect him from any attack.. The man lived a good life, for awhile, until he broke the codes of the god of the Tower. For punishment, the gift became his curse, his soul would be sucked within it, and there he'd live forever, his soul acting like a shield to those who wear it. Through rage and desperation to get free, he fought the power of a god as a spirit and became a phantom, leeching on any wrist the bracer falls upon. When used for its effect, the face of the man shall come up as a kite shield to his foes, screaming in pain when struck, and draining the life-force from the wielder with each use of it! As the wielder dreams, he shall dream of nearly only one thing, of the man wishing to become free. Clawing at his mind, chewing his way to take control of the person whom it is on. Within five through eight uses, the wielder will die after his life-force is drained from his body and into the bracer. Brunzo’s curse can be broken momentarily, when struck by a halberd or several throwing axes, where the wielder may cast it aside, saving his/her life in the process.
