“Are they fighting?”
The brunette shook his head. “No.”
“Then what is going on?”
“Andreas is afraid to tell you because it might spell his…exile.” A female walked up to them and Rei recognized her as Hotaru.
“My lady.” Andreas made a small bow. “I thought you were staying inside?”
“I heard a rumour.” Hotaru said with slight smile. “Is it true that she is really back?”
“Excuse me but if you are referring to me then yes I am back.” Rei said as she sidestepped Hotaru and faced her. “Are the Elders inside?”
“Yes. But they will not speak to the likes of you nor him yet.” Hotaru gave a smile that was meant to anger but it didn’t work.
“They will see me Hotaru.” Rei walked to the mansion doors and opened them only to find more vampires lazing about in the chairs. They stopped what they were doing and stared at her then went back to their gossip.
“Ah.” A black-haired male walked up. “You seek to become a vampire yes?”
“I already am a vampire!” Rei hissed, her fangs growing. “Ask me another ridiculous question and your life becomes dust!”
The vampire didn’t doubt her claims and quickly ran out of the room.
“Don’t you think you acted harshly?” Terrance walked up to her, Andreas and Hotaru following shortly behind him.
“If that is what you think then you are sadly mistaken!” Rei glared at him then looked at Hotaru, “Where are they?”
“In the Elder room. They are…talking of unsavoury topics.”
“Does it look like I care?” Rei started walking but was blocked by two Death Dealers. “Get out of my way!”
“Sorry but you are not allowed down here.” The male said and looked at his partner.
“If you won’t get out of my way willingly then I will make you.”
“Stand down lady. We will use force!” The female spoke up and reached for her gun. Before the two Death Dealers knew it they were ash as Rei took out BloodOath and in one swift stroke, cut their heads off.
“Fantastic display. Shall I offer you my humble service Princess? Or are you going to cut my head off as well?” Kotoro stood at the top of the stairs, clapping.
“I’ll kill you!” Rei took the stairs two at a time and lunged at Kotoro. Kotoro knew this to be a feint and took a step backwards making Rei re-evaluate her position.
Terrance stood with Hotaru and Andreas, not wanting to get involved in the fight.
“She sure is beautiful.” Andreas smiled while watching the spectacle. “How’d you meet her?”
“Coffee shop.” Terrance smiled.
“Ah. Did you fall in love as soon as you saw her?” Andreas had taken out a notepad and was quickly writing things down.
“You could say that.”
Hotaru laughed. “You think you might have a chance with her? Hope those wishes don’t come true for you stranger.”
“Why is that?” Terrance looked at Hotaru with sudden anger.
“Because she already has someone. But he got banished to Apolla’s realm when-” Andreas stopped in mid-sentence as he noticed that Hotaru was glaring at him.
“Let me guess…top-secret right?”
“Yes.”
Meanwhile back at the top of the stairs
“You haven’t changed a bit. Damascus will be pleased.” Kotoro turned around and walked into a room. Rei followed and as soon as she entered, the door shut of its own accord and started glowing purple. “What did you do to the door?”
“Locked it magically. Now no one can enter or hear our conversation.”
