Chapter 4
Kitty, Sentaro and Ryo have arrived at a small village that was filled with markets.
Kitty: Wow! Look at all the stuff they're selling.
Sentaro: We're not here to buy souviners, we're here to buy some supplies since its gonna be a long, perilous journey.
Suddenly Ryo notices a small crowd gathering in an alley.
Ryo: Hey, what's going on over there? *runs to the crowd*
Kitty: Wait up Ryo-san! *follows him*
Sentaro: *sighs* Is it really any of our business? *follows them*
Ryo pushes throught the crowd and on the floor sees an unconscious woman.
Ryo: Oh my god, what happened?
Kitty: Do you think she's hurt? Maybe she needs healing.
Ryo: I'll go get help. *runs off*
Sentaro: Hmm, better check for injuries.
Kitty: Hope you aren't gonna be pervy in a situation like this.
Sentaro: Shut up, I'm not like Ryo. *suddenly notices something* What's this?
Kitty: What is it?
Sentaro: It seems this woman was a victim of an attack.
Kitty: How do you know?
Sentaro: Look at her neck. *he shows her the woman's neck, shows two puncture holes*
Kitty: That looks like a bitemark.
Sentaro: *nods* This woman was attacked by a vampire.
Kitty: *looking scared* A w-w-what?
Ryo: A blood-sucking freak, you moron. *rushes back*
Sentaro: Did you get help?
Ryo: Yea, I also gathered some information. It seems that she's the fifth victim this week. Not only women but men too.
Kitty: Well these people shouldn't live in fear for the rest of their lives, I say we do something.
Sentaro: All right, once night falls we'll put an end to it's hunt.
Night fell, there were only a few people out in the streets, including Kitty, Sentaro and Ryo, armed and ready to destroy the vampire.
Kitty: Wonder why there still some people out here at night?
Ryo: Guess not everyone believes in the rumors.
Sentaro: Ok, it'll be easier to find it if we split up. If any of you guys are in danger or if you found a clue, send a signal so we'll find each other.
They went their separate ways.
Kitty: Ok girl, don't be afraid. They can smell fear. You can do this, you can take it out.
Ryo: Hmm, this place could be some kind of tavern. Could use a drink. No Ryo, no time to get distracted, gotta get the job done.
Man's voice: hey, you looking for something?
Ryo: Huh? Who's there? Show yourself!
Out from the shadows appears a young man, looking about his 20's with black hair, red eyes and dressed in gothic style.
Ryo: Who are you?
Man: The name's Luthor Rydell. So you new here? Haven't seen you in town.
Ryo: Uh, yea. Me and a couple of friends are staying here for a while. Oh, I'm Ryokamaru Hibiki but my friends call me Ryo.
Luthor: *smiles* Pleased to meet you.
Ryo: People sure are nice here...... Is he hitting on me? So listen, you might want to avoid the streets, there's something dangerous out here.
Luthor: Thanks for the warning, but I can take care of myself. *takes out a rapier from his belt*
Ryo: Whoa! Cool blade.
Luthor: Thank you. And what about you?
Ryo: Me? I plan on stopping this thing. Well better get going, nice meeting you.
Luthor: Good luck to you.
Ryo: Thanks. *runs off*
Luthor: Heh...
Ryo runs through another alley when suddenly all the lanterns went out.
Ryo: Huh? *hits a wall* Ow, jeez what the hell?! *rubs his forehead* Well that was embarassing.
Suddenly he felt something slash across the face.
Ryo: OW! Now what happened? *summons fire from his hand and sees Luthor in front of him with the tip of his rapier covered in blood* Luthor? What the hell are you doing?
Luthor: *licks the blood off his blade* What an interesting flavor...
Ryo: What the-?! All this time he was the freak we were searching for? Damn! Looks like I'll have to fight him on my own. *takes out his scythe Irkalla*
Luthor: You wish to fight me?
Ryo: Damn right! I'm gonna put an end to your blood-sucking fest.
Luthor: Very well *puts his rapier in front of him* this should be fun.
Ryo: *the scythe's blade becomes engulfed in flames* Lets go! *charges towards him, tries to slash him*
Luthor: *ducks and attempts to stab him*
Ryo: *dodges* I plan to finish this quick, so let me show you my power! Dragonfire Attack! *blows out streams of fire*
Luthor: Heh... *black aura appears and forms a wall in front of him to block the attack*
Ryo: O_O What the hell?!
Luthor: If you wanted to end this battle quickly, why didn't you say so in the first place? *an orb of dark energy forms on his hand* Dark Energy Blast! *throws it at Ryo*
Ryo: *gets hit* GYAAAH!!! *collapses on the ground injured, reaches for his scythe but Luthor kicks it out of his reach* Irkalla! Damn...
Luthor: Heh, looks like I won. And now *grabs Ryo by his shirt collar* it's time to claim my prize. *bares his fangs*
Ryo: O_O AAAAHHH!!!
Out in the distance Kitty and Sentaro heard Ryo's screams.
Kitty: *gasp* Oh no, Ryo-san's in danger! *runs back*
Sentaro: Damn, we're too late. *runs back* Hold on man, we're coming
Kitty: Don't worry Ryo-san, we'll save you!
