Wake Up Call
Then They went on to make "Shut Your Mouth And Open Your Eyes". Its more renegade and in-your-face. You can't go wrong with in-your-face'ness when your band is AFI! You just can't. Heres one of their songs of the album called Keeping Out Of Direct Sunlight
After "Shut Your Mouth And Open Your Eyes" they made another called "Black Sails In The Sunset". This ones tuned down just slightly. I like it. The guitars developed a little bit more. By that I don't mean they sucked before I'm just saying more technique was added. Stops scratches and palm muting. Listen to this one"Malleus Maleficarum" and you'll see what I mean.
And then they toured for awhile. I mean the people loved them. Who wouldn't? After some time they put together their next album Cd called "The Art Of Drowning". This one was kind of the transition to what they are now. A little more emo and slower tempo. Some people started to lose interest but it did make for a great sound. Its an awesome Cd. Here is an absolutely Amazing song called The Days Of The Phoenix
And now their pretty ******** famous! Music videos sold out shows. They got it all. Their next Cd was a huge hit. "Sing The Sorrow" sold better than any of their other Cd they had so far. It was put together really well. All the songs really flowed into eachother. It was much different and a lot of their hardcore fans lost interest completely. But this Cd did kick a** indeed. The whole vibe was except for "Dancing Through Sunday" was unrecognizable. I guess its kinda emo. But I still love it. Great intro with "Miseria Cantare-The Begining"
After a few years they made DecemberUnderground. With their single "Miss Murder" The begingin of that one is Prelude 12/21. Its a totally awesome setup. This Cd brought it up a bit. Not so dark and secluded. But thats the thing about AFI. They've got a great song for pretty much any mood your in. The music video for Miss Murder was extremely popular and got an award for best music video of the year.
A little time went by and they came out with their latest Cd "I Heard A Voice' is a live Cd but includes some previously unreleased songs like "Carcinogen Crush" Which adds just a little bit of their punk back in. Only a little bit though. It makes it sound just slightly like a lot of other rock bands. Not cool but its still a good song.
