Today I had to give away two of my kittens and, although I knew I wasn't supposed to get attached, I did. Seeing them carried away in the hands of another was hard and so I treated myself to a lunch at Mongolian BBQ in hopes of being cheered up. When I sat down at the table with a huge bowl of stirfry before me, I was so happy. In that moment, a thought crossed my mind that seems to be everpresent; all the small things in life are what make me happy. But is this not truly one of the best ways to live? For in life, there are many small things and so I am constantly and consistently joyous. If one is only brought happiness at the presence of a wonderous event, then would not their life be deviod of happiness most of the time? Wonderous events are not a common occurence; hence, the title wonderous. So is not appreciation for the mundane everday, the little things, in and of itself a form of self sustainment and genious?
