Selena woke up in a cold sweat. An alarm clock stood besides her bed, beeping loudly. She mumbled something incoherent as she groped around trying to push the snooze button. "GOOD MORNING!" sang her brilliantly beautiful mother. She gamboled across the room with amazing ease. "Are we ready to get up now?" she pestered excitedly. Rosalie Bell was an . . . interesting person. As gorgeous as she was, she never seemed to have a grip on reality. She wore floor length skirts and blouses alot. She ran an old-fashioned hotel -she liked to call it her 'inn'- that used fireplaces for warmth and windows without glass. Like now, as she stood before her, long red hair billowing outwards, pale green eyes alight, with a tray laden with food. "Now, eat up hun, before your food gets cold." And with that she pranced out of the room.
Selena shook her head. Upon the ray of food -which included waffles, bacon, eggs, various fruits, grits, milk, and rasberry juice- a little note sat delicatly at the front.
Selena, it began. She continued reading.
How's my little girl? I miss you terribly. I'm very sorry I missed you birthday.

Pfft, she thought. More like missing father. Her dad traveled, and this year he missed her birthday and her mother's.
