The Angel's Fire
~Prolouge~
The newly arrived demon screamed in agony as Damu watched him being whipped. He smirk as he saw the blood pour down his back.
"Is that enough your majesty?" The right hand guard, Moto, asked.
"No." Damu answered simply. "He still has emotion in his eyes....tears. Whip him until there are no more tears left."
"Yes Sin." Moto bowed. Damu scowled.
"I may be the new Sin, but the name is Damu, and don't mistake that again or you'll be suffering the same fate as Geni there!" Damu snapped standing up. Moto flinched and returned to his whipping as Geni whimpered.
"Damu.... lighten up on Moto."
"Sorry if you don't approve of me yelling at him Lord Kosa, but I loathe being called Sin." Damu said.
"And why is that? When I became Sin, I gladly took the name." Kosa said.
"My name is Damu. That's it. And besides, I like it a lot better."
Moto looked up.
"Did I say stop whipping?! Geni is still shedding water works!" Damu snapped sending Moto back to work. Kosa laughed softly.
"How long has this been going on?"
"3 hours i believe.." Damu said.
"Damu, I need to inform you about something." Kosa said.
"What is it my Lord?"
"There has been trouble on Earth." Damu scowled.
"And I care about Earth and it's people...why?"
"It's not that you have to care about them, we must take precaution of what they're doing." Lord Kosa said. Damu listened closer to him.
"Explain."
"There is a human, a female, who is trying to come up with a cure for living longer." Kosa said. Damu's eyes grew.
"That's not possible."
"Well, it's true. Her name is Dawn Nightshade." Kosa looked closely at Damu to this answer, Damu sneered.
"Such a human name....." His face was disscusted.
"But that's the thing, she is human. Her and her husband Prise are very close to creating the formula. And if that gets out, people will stop dying, or at least die older." Kosa said.
"But, when a person dies after the age of 60, people instantly go to Heaven!" Damu gasped.
"Yes...that's why we need to take care that they don't succeed. If it works, Hell will never become populated and eventually vanish all together." Kosa explained. Damu stood up.
"That can't happen!"
"Well... what do you think we should do?"
"I'll go up to Earth and stop them myself. If I have to kill them, so be it."
Kosa's eyes grew, then he closed them with a nod.
"Do as you please King Damu." Damu stormed out of the room.
Moto walked over.
"Did King Damu just say he was going to stop Dawn Nightshade, even if it meant killing her?"
"Yes, Moto. That's why I'm so surprised. I know it's been 5 years, but his memory of her has completely been forgotten already." Kosa said.
"Dawn was the human Damu loved right?" Moto asked.
"Yes. That's why I told Damu this. She's the one whjo almost ruined him. Besides, sending him after her will be a great test, to see if love can be forgotten."
"What if he remembers everything?!" Moto asked.
Lord Kosa thought for a moment.
"If he does...... he will leave his demon body and become a wandering soul. As I hope that will not happen, but we never know. That's why I'm doing this now." Kosa walked away taking Geni to the dungeon.
