Kind of a busy week. I'm filled with different emotions, each day has been like a sample of feeling.
Tuesday I was awfully pissed. I was supposed to receive a call from the Admissions Representative for one of the colleges I'm trying to apply for. I'm like this close to just dropping the whole idea, because after speaking with my dad and looking through everything I've seen, as well as talking to a few teachers, I think dropping the idea of going to Collins College was just a sort of dream idea. I think I'd much rather just go somewhere else within Nevada, that way I won't be very far from home, and most of the scholarships I can apply to are only available within the state. I know I shouldn't have expected her to call, but dammit, she sent me an appointment form.
Other than that, I've been doing well in school. According to Edline, I have 3 A's and 2 B's, so I'm very happy about that, I have never seen my grades so high in a while. I'm trying for Straight A's, but if I can maintain this focus, it'd still hit my GPA up a notch, I need it to at least grab a 3.0, that's my goal GPA. I need that for most colleges. I think UNLV is only 2.75, but 3.0 looks a lot nicer, and my dad is hoping for that, so I'd much prefer that. My math class for some reason is working out ok, I guess it's cause I'm doing my homework.
I snagged my ACT and SAT registration forms, and I only have like 1 day left to meet the November deadline, so I need to finish those as well. I need to see if my dad will buy me a Graphing Calculator, I need it for Algebra II now, plus it wouldn't hurt to have one for the testing, I'm sure I could use it.
I got to play Ragnarok with Sonja yesterday night too, which was fun, but I need to get Jen back on, so I'm gonna try to get to her house tomorrow after school, so I can let her borrow the CD, to install it. I know she's getting computer restrictions, but at least she'll have the game.
Oh, we had Anime and Manga club today. VoTech started one up this year, so I'm glad we have one my final year of school. I wish I could have applied for one of the office positions, but a bunch of my friends are officers, and there's the fact that Mr. Mallard is the teacher advisor. We had a nice time, and taking the late bus home was a nice reminder of back when I was in Hip-Hop Club. That's about it for now, maybe I can try to watch Advent Children in class, instead of hanging around Gaia like I am right now. sweatdrop
