THERE I STOOD, watching her. My breathing was rapid and short, as if hyperventilating by just looking at her body…so smooth, so beautiful…her skin was the thing that caught my eye as she entered the dim light of the alleyway. The moon came forward from the clouds that held her captive just moments before. The color…it was amazing…the color of cream…she was pale! It was…inhuman, wasn’t it, to have skin so white…untouched, it seemed, from the sun’s burning fiery rays. “Well, at least you didn’t scream…” she said, a slight smile curling on her ruby red, perfect and smooth lips. She let a small amount of air escape her lips, sighing as she saw my expression plastered on my face. “I know what you’re about to say-my little gift, you could say…” I cleared my throat slightly and felt my voice scratching at the back of my mouth. “You’re…” I said, choking on the following words. She grinned. Two sharp, tiny, white triangles protruded from her mouth, resting over her bottom lip. She seemed to be waiting for me to finish my sentence. “A vampire…” I finished my thought out loud…
