I went on vacation to Maine with my family this past weekened. We stayed at a resort called Point Sebago.
But that's not important.
What's important is that we had lobster on Saturday night. Whole, unshelled lobster. And when I tried to crack mine open, IT tried to crack ME open.
I pressed down on the shell with my thumb, and it split apart, slicing my thumb in the process.
And I'm not talking a paper-cut kind of deal...no. I mean, a huge chunk of skin hanging off my finger, and a lot of excess blood.
Basically, I started to pass out right there at the table, and had to lay down on the chairs until my brother got a band-aid to wrap my thumb up.
Pretty scary stuff.
Anyway, just thought I'd share that.
