OK, I finally came up with a poem I like, so I decided to post it eek yes, I do write poetry! domokun Free verse... enjoy!
THE DEMON INSIDE ME
I knew
That the dream
Could not last
And yet
I wished
that it would
Hoping
Praying
That the demon inside me
Would not wake
But it did
And the demon inside me
Won't let me trust anyone
Not even
Myself.
It tells me
In its little voice
Why I shouldn't trust anyone
"They'll betray you"
It whispers
I try to shut it out
But it stays
Poisoning my mind
I try to stop it
But I can't
Stop it
It only sleeps
Waiting to wake
Again.
