Today I found my turning stick in the car! I had it all along! With it, I was able to turn one of Cecelia's arms right-side out, but was stumped as how to get the fingers turned as well. Then it hit me! I had a swiss army knife in my desk drawer!
I quickly got it out and whittled a thinner point for my turning stick. It turns out that Prickly Ash is a really nice wood for whittling. It's really soft compared to maple.
Anyway, with my new pointy turning stick, I was able to turn the fingers right side out. The completed hand looks really nice, but it's not stuffed yet. I have to get some bamboo skewers for actually stuffing the fingers. I'm procrastinating on turning the other arm, I actually hate turning because it's a long and tedious process, especially with really small stuff like this.
Also, after taking a shower today, I was putting astringent on my face and brought my elbow down hard on the corner of a cabinet. It stung a bit. After I was through going rigid with pain, I brought the elbow up and saw that I was bleeding! It was just a short gash, but it looked fairly deep. It bled for quite a bit too, but now it just looks nasty.
For those reading for the first time(probably no one fits this category), Cecelia is the main character in my comic Default Hero: Cecelia. Give it a read if you want.
