Wishlist fix
A bug affecting many users rendering their wishlist unusable is going to be fixed this week.
The bug is characterized by the lack of icons and item names on the wishlist editing page.
The fix will automatically remove the item from the user's inventory and restore correct display of thumbs and item titles as well as fix the form. The problem item has always been hidden from display on your profile wishlist display and was never intended by Gaia to be "wishlistable".
Guild description fixes
My other fix going out this week will help guild moderators.
Guild descriptions now have a character-counter feature (which counts down as you approach the maximum length for the description message length) and no longer inserts spaces (seemingly) randomly.
- The maximum length for a guild description is 50,000 characters. The character counter shows you the number of characters left (before you reach 50,000) and will truncate the description message at 50,000.
A precaution taken for aesthetic-sake limits the number of consecutive characters without spaces that could be displayed on a guild description. The problem with the solution was that it injected spaces blindly into BBCode, which can ruin the pre-translation BBcode or IMG SRCs or URL HREFs. I removed the space injection and am requesting that moderators be in charge of enforcing rediculously long words in guild descriptions.
