This journal reference is for submitting to a RP that someone has going. I just met her, and I rather like the premisis of her game so I thought I'd give it a try and ressurect one of my old favorite characters.
Angel Name: Vishanial Age: Appearance-20, Actual - ??? Gender: Male Species: Taharial (Angel of Purification) Alignment: Lawful Good Occupation: Teacher - Elementary School Pets/Creatures/Summons: Physical Description: Vishanial stands a imposeing 5 feet 11 inches tall. His build is slender yet muscular. Something that you would expect a devoted swimmer to possess. His skin is typically a pale cream color, as he never seems to tan reguardless of any time he spends outside. His hair is as black as the night sky, with hints of dark blue and purple in the highlights. It hangs down easily to his waist, though he often keeps it pulled back and tied in a plain white ribbon with chin length bangs framing his face. Vishanial's eyes are a smokey grey coloration, that humans on average mistake for a pale blue color. Normally Vishanial is seen wearing a critically tended to white suit with a pale grey undershirt and black tie. This is his outfit of choice when meshing with the 'humans world'.
Vishanial also has another outfit that he wears (See Powers below) that he calls forth when in need of it.
Personality Description: Vishanial is contemptuous. He see's the world as a pit of foul filth and he disdains having to walk it day after day. He see's little hope for the world and awaits the day of it's cleansing. Despite this, he carry's on his appointed task with a outdated vigilience. He seeks to instruct those with listening ears and he gives voice to the 'Right' way in which life should be led. Many see Vishanial as old fashioned and out dated. Vishanial is extremely sardonic when dealing with most humans, and he is...to put it bluntly, a perfectionist fanatical a** hole.
The only ones who even get a glimpse of the different side of Vishanial are the children he teaches. Amoung them, and their purity, he becomes a warm and friendly person. Vishanial actually smiles. He is soft spoken and a devoted care provider to his students. Even the most misbehaving child is given the same tender care and attention as all the rest. Rarely does Vishanial have problems with his students.
Special Abilities: Sword of Light A weapon that Vishanial summons by placing his hand over his own heart and making a fist. In a withdrawing motion, it seems as if he is removing a blade of white light from his very heart. This sword draws it's strength directly from Vishanials own devotion. So long as he remains faithful and believes in his cause, his blade remains in exsistance. This particular blade is incapable of harming the truely innocent. These would be, for the record, children or those who have pursued a Pure lifestyle (No sex, no vices, no drugs, no lies, ect) All others the blade cuts through with a fine razor edge. The sword's blade remains as unbreakable as Vishanials faith.
Cleanseing Flame This power requires Vishanial to recite a minute long prayer in the celestial language. Upon completion of this prayer a pillar of blue tinged white flame flares into exsistance about Vishanials body. He may allow the flame to continue to burn around him, in which it inflicts no damage to him, but it heals any wounds recieved from infernal souraces as well as purges any vile toxins or poisons from his body. Once these wounds have been cleansed the fire dies away. Vishanial may choose to weild the fire as a weapon, in which case he sacrifices the opportunity to have his own wounds healed. In this manner he may fire a total of three streaks of the blue white flame at a target. If a target struck is of infernal origin it will recieve holy burning damage in accordance to their own personal strength in compare to Vishanials own (More powerful they are the less damage taken). If the target strikes a mortal being the flames may either burn them as a normal flame might, or in the case of demonic possession, the flames may inflict double the amount of damage on the infernal entity possessing the mortal without harming the mortal itself. In the case of children the flames will never harm them. This ability may only be used once per day.
Eye of Judgement This ritual requires Vishanial to perform a three minute long prayer. Upon completion, a outline of white light shapes a open eye roughly four feet in diameter in the air before Vishanial. By peering through this eye Vishanial is able to see the soul essence of a mortal. The soul appears as a nimbus of light surrounding the mortal. The more pure and good hearted they are the more pure the light is. The darker this light is the more evil. Mind you, the perception of good and pure verses evil and corrupt is based on the casters own view of good and evil. (So a girl who is, by all accounts, a good person with a good heart, but who indulges in pre-marital sex with ehr boyfriend will appear as tainted and corrupt.) Vishanial may choose to do the following once he has peered into the Eye. 1- He may choose to allow the mortal to see as he see's and reveal the state of their nimbus around them. Or 2- He may choose to allow Judgement to befall the mortal. In which case the Eye will close and he nimbus that had been summoned about the person will alight as if it were a flame itself, allowing the 'corrupt energies' to consume the body of the mortal, or at the very least inflict burn like wounds upon them. Special Defenses: Battle Armor Any good Warrior of Purity will have a weapon and armor. Vishanial may summon a suit of white body armor on whim. This armor completely encloses over whatever clothing he is currently wearing and remains in place until such time that Vishanial dismisses it. The armor appears as a glowing white outline at first, then solidifiys within moments of summoning. Any damage the armor takes it may 'heal' from. But only with 24 hours of being dismissed. Vishanials armor protects him from most mundane weapons (Blunt objects and knives will not hurt it. Typical guns will dent the material. But if he gets hit by a armor piercing round or by a car the armor will be damaged as will whatever it was protecting)
Celestial Gift Vishanial has wings. Pretty pale white wings that he can summon when he requires of them. They are exceptionally useful when...oh...falling... or needing to jump really high XD
Divine Health Vishanial has never taken a sick day in all of his life. Primarily because he does not get sick. To the human doctors that he has had to submitt himself to the degredation of being inspected by, Vishanial appears to be in perfect health. Normal mundane damage he will recover from more quickly then a human. It is only infernal damage that will have lingering and painful side effects that he must heal from on a normal rate. Weaknesses: Vishanials pessemistic view of the world can often create problems when dealing with others. He has no friends, he has no professional companions. He doesn't even have a pet. Vishanial keeps himself as much apart from the world as he can manage
Much of Vishanials own strength and power comes from his faith. So long as he believes in what he is doing his power remains strong and pure. Should he somehow come to question his actions or other parts of his faith, his powers would become severly weakened and possibly cease to manifest.
Vishanial is, by and far, not immortal and not invulnerable. In the past he has suffered damages that have laid him low for decades as he recovered. Vishanial has, in fact, a family crypt in which he has sought refuge in when in need of healing and 'down time'
Quirks: Children are the only humans that Vishanial feels inclined to treat kindly or with any form of charity. Only while a human is a child does he feel it is worthy of saving. He has not yet met a single adult that he would put himself in harms way to protect.
History: Eden. Paradise. It was a wonderful place. So pure and clean. Vishanial remembers this place. He remembers watching the beasts. He remembers watching the man and woman. He remembers how much that time had been wonderful.
Then it was ruined. Vishanial wept at the fate of Gods creations. He wept upon seeing that peace shattered and that purity sullied. He had Loved them. He had Loved the humans. He had Loved the beasts. He had Loved the garden. Such perfection there had been!
Then Children were born, and Vishanial found something new to Love. Innocent and pure. Their laughter made him laugh. Their innocence made him glow with joy. They grew, and he loved them all the more. Though Vishanial had never interacted with the humans, he still felt as if he were a part of their life.
And they grew. And they sinned.
And Vishanial wept.
Once more their purity was stained. Thier innocence was broken, and Vishanial witnessed their acts. He saw brother kill brother. He saw blood spilled and he saw ugly emotions brought forth. Vishanial wept all the more.
The ages came, and they passed. In the earliest years Vishanial watched and loved and wept many times. When his brothers found themselves loving the mortal women, Vishanial became filled with a disgust at the betrayal of his own kind. They sullied themselves with the tainted females, left their own tainted seed behind. Not even those children could Vishanial come to love. So when the Lord swept the earth clean with water, Vishanial began to hope anew. Perhaps this time the purity would remain?
But no. Man did not learn. Man continued to spiral into darkness.
Vishanial no longer wept after the death of the Son. His tears had long since dried and he had come to understand. So long as men exsisted with the devils influence there was no hope for them. Each child was destined for sin. There would be no saving them, no matter how much he loved them. All that remained was for the day that God would cleanse the world he had lovingly created and purge it of all the evil that had infected it.
Vishanial finally came to stand upon the earth, after so many eons of merely watching. He clothed himself in flesh, but saw fit to keep in his mind the temptation his brothers had fallen to so that he would not be tempted the way they had. Vishanial appointed himself the task of protecting the only ones worth protecting until the time that deliverance would come.
God bless the little children.
This world is corrupt. A pit of filth and agony. Time has not wrought wonders. All around him Vishanial see's more signs of the sin and corruption fermenting in it's own filth. He despises this modern age. He longs for the day when it will be wiped clean and the world restored to it's innocent state of purity and innocence.
He can not save the children. He can not protect them forever. Each child that Vishanial teaches, he attempts to instill with the lessons he believes they must know, but he holds no hope that any of them will remain untouched by the corruption of the world.
Vishanial has 'lived' in this world only for three hundred years. Over this time he has always filled the role of a teacher. In the begining it was easy enough to find a position, and he early established his mortal name and identity. In order to keep his position in this system he has established a 'Family Line' by declaring he has a son every twenty years and having the records updated that his child is being raised with his 'mother' in another part of the world. In consistancy, he vanishes after another twenty years and returns ten years later as the supposed 'son' to claim the family property before he moves to another location to begin a new life as the 'son'.
Vishanial has had errected a Family Crypt, in which all of his previous incarnations are supposedly entombed. On the occassions when he needed to dissappear between lives, it is here that he laid himself to rest and slumbered for the ten years. His tomb is located in the graveyard of a small churchyard.
