Isn't Fishing Supposed To Be Relaxing?!? |

Huh. Not much happened today. I've been told of like three upcoming tests next week, which I do not plan on studying for, since Anime Vegas is tomorrow, and Sunday's....umm....church?
In other news, I've been in contact with Russell and Josh all today. This is one of the few chances DnR gets to to go on during the week, so on Friday's he lives for Gaia.
Earlier this afternoon, while I wasn't on, he called Josh up and told us they released Gaia Fishing. I've been waiting for this to finally be up for a long time. This, and, of course the Battle System. I didn't get a chance to go on immediately, so I had to wait for a while, and when I finally got on the computer, I jumped right into the game.
Big mistake. I had barely read any of the rules and tips for the game, and started fishing immediately in the Durem Recclamation Facility. Turns out, that's the hardest spot to fish, sort of the "Expert" stage in terms of Easy, Intermediate and Expert. I only had the Basic Rod, and there was no way I was gonna catch any fish with just that and no upgrade. But I had no idea of that, so I just tried Port Of Gambino, which was barely any easier. I could hold onto the fish for a few seconds, but other than that, I couldn't get the fish anywhere near the shore.
I started to get frustrated and began to rant in DnR's bar, Dark Twilight. He explained to me where to find the place that had helpful suggestions and tips, so I spent a little while reading. I got the basics down, and went back out for a second try. Obviously, with the Basic Rod I didn't get very good fish, (I actually got some junk, like a tire and a tin can) but I did get to fill two buckets worth of catches. Later on even, TT1 gave me money for a Distance Rod, so now I'm doing quite well.
I guess I just wasn't following the first rule of fishing: Patience.
