Chapter 4 Uprising, Part 1 Past of Precious Hope
Two days have passed since the Robo-Guard attack. Most of the Tech has been modified for our use and people were training to use for combat. It was tough, at first because the power control was hard at first. Some nearly lost their arms.
I just upgraded the armor under my suit made it more sturdy and increased my senses.
Things were good, but i was still wondering what was Yuuki and Govind's connection.
I couldn't find her, however, nor could I find Govind. I hung around with Jordan, he told me of how his parents died when he was born and he was raised on the streets then when he learned of the rebels, he decided to join them.
That night, I went up to top. There was a small spot that the rebels controled that showed the stars in the night sky.
I looked up at it and dissappeared into thought. I remember many things of my past, of Govind, of Hikari. I took off my mask in relaxtion. Then I heard shuffling and slipped it back on.
"Who's there?" said someone.
"Depends who am I talking to?" i relplied.
"Smart comeback, it is me, Yuuki."
I let out a small sigh of relief. "Okay, it is me, Nobody."
She then came around the conner. "What are you doing here, Nobody?"
"Just looking at the stars, gives me a good feeling."
"Oh, same here, seeing so much beauty even in a place like this."
"Yeah."
There was a slow moment of silence.
I looked at Yuuki, she looked really beautiful with the star lighting her skin. Her long blond hair was tied up into a ponytail today and she was wearing a long white dress.
She turn to me and then simultaneously asked, "What is your connection with Govind?"
We gasped at the same time, then laughed a little bit.
Finally, she said, "So will you tell me if I tell you?"
"Okay, but you go first."
"Deal, let see."
She sat down next to me and then started, "When I was born, my mother died from giving birth to me. My father dissappeared and I wondered alone on the streets for 21 years learning to walk, run, and other essential along the way."
"I manage to scrounge up medicine things as well as food from working around the area delivering things, but no one loved me, I was abandoned one person after another. Especially after people found out about this." She raised her hand and a light blue light emitted from it.
"This power heals people from anything including regrowing missing limbs. Some feared my power while others began hunting me for it including the king."
"One day, it was raining, I manage to escape the Robo-Guards, but not completely safe. I can't heal myself for some reason. I was in an abandoned broken-down church, bleeding badly. I thought I was going to die, then he appeared before me."
"He pulled his umbrella over me and then tore off one of his sleeves and wraped it around my arm. He left the umbrella with me and began to walk off on his own. I followed him and he provided me with food and a shelter away from the Robo-Guards."
"He told me how he knew of not being wanted, not having anyone there, then told me how he met a guy that was willing to die for the one he cared about and decided to help him out. He taught him what he knew and he showed him kindness."
"Even when he saw my powers, he protected me. He is a very great person, he is like a brother to me and I will help him."
"He is a good guy." I said when she finished, "Okay, I'll tell you mine, but don't tell anyone else besides Govind." She nodded.
I then explained my story, how I was the guy, Govind talked about, how life was for me and who I am and what I am doing and once again took off my mask.
I expected her to say something bad, but she hugged me and said, "You don't have to do this all by yourself."
I felt like crying and some tears did come out, but I said, "I know, but it is a person's own choice to join me. If they don't want me, they don't need to."
"You are a good person, bit stubborn and dumb, but very kind."
"Okay, that was a little harsh."
"It is true though." said a voice from above us.
Govind jumped down from the smokey top.
He was looking kind of cool with his the soot covering his dark skin.
"But yeah, you have us with you, don't forget that. Right, Yuuki-chan?"
"Yes, and stop that, why do you do that?"
"Because your reaction are a bit funny and it increases your cuteness."
We laughed for a while and talked much about the plan ahead and what we'll do afterwards.
"Okay, I'll go tell the remaining leaders what we are doing. You both get some rest." Govind said.
"I'll come with you." she said then turned to me and said, "Night, Nobody."
I waved my hand to say night and then put my mask back on.
I soon fell asleep and dreamed of many things only to be woken by a plane booming overhead. I was a little ticked for there was something interesting in my dreams, but I was just in time to see the early sunrise of the eve of the rebelion.
