I don't know how to start this one off, except to explain the title. Pretty much, I can compare today to a roller coaster, since it had its ups, its downs, and its ride operators telling me to make sure my seat was buckled and to enjoy the ride. blaugh
Hmm...well, actually, I kind of want to start off with yesterday night, since a lot of cool stuff happened after I filled out yesterday's entry. For one thing, I was channel surfing, and ended up spotting Princess Mononoke on Turner Classic Movies. I freaked out and called Sonja to tell her, since she's a huge fan of the movie too. Turns out, she already knew they were showing them because Amanda's mom told her, it's something like it's Miyazaki's birthday this month, so they're showing his movies every Thursday. So we sat and talked, while I was watching Sophia.
When Kelly got back, I handed her the remote, and big suprise, she changed it to Lifetime. Some movie was on, and stuff happened that I instanly recognized from a book I read. I kept watching for like another minute, and I was convinced they had done a movie adaptation of that book, "Speak". I definitely recommend it to anyone, and I was elated to see it as a movie. The story fit the Lifetime category for sure. I stayed up to watch it, then went to bed when it finished.
This morning was pretty hectic, I barely made it to the bus, again. I managed to finish my Government homework before 1st bell rang, and Hacina let me borrow her Algebra assignment again. I sat through government copying the math, and zoned in and out of a movie to answer a worksheet about it.
Algebra had a quiz, and through it all, I think I actually did quite well. It wasn't too hard, considering I didn't do the homework on my own, but I took good notes, regardless that I didn't study them. Maybe I shouldn't be so confident.
Psychology was a relief, considering Ms. Klein was nowhere to be found, because I hadn't finished our project journal. So I sat and played Partners In Time. As for Website Science, Gaia was down, so that was annoying, so I kept working on the website. It's coming along even nicer, but my dumb teacher is trying to make me add this dumb Motion Tween with the text that she can't even do herself, so she's got me going through her MX Hot book.
Now, Composition was where it really went out with a bang. For the first time in a while, I'm pretty sure I aced my Vocabulary Test. After that, we had SSR. For those of you who don't know, it's Sustained Silent Reading. Basically, the English classes are required to grade students on taking test on certain books that they read. I always get this done easily, but most people wait until the last minute to take tons of tests. So sometimes, I sneak on as them and do it for them, which was what I had volunteered to do for a friend of mine, Michelle.
While I was on though, Ms. Lamont questioned why my name looked funny when she glanced at the screen. Knowing I was busted, I admitted I was doing the test for someone else. When she asked who it was, I paused for a minute, thinking whether I should rat out Michelle or not. I could see her looking at me, but I figured there was no reason to try to cover up stuff, they'd know anyway. Leaving the computer, I nearly laughed in Ms. Lamont's face, when she said she was appalled at what I had done, and then she said that she was "flabbergasted". I kind of snorted at that, and I think she heard me.
She told us we were both not getting any Reading Counts points, so we sort of sat in silence, reading our books, while we felt the class holding back their laughter. I didn't really care, I was more worried about Michelle, I felt like s**t that I had done that to her. She said she didn't care and not to worry about it, but I hated myself because Michelle's like an A student, and this would never look good to her. I was scared we were going to get RPC'd, and then my life would have been over. But it seemed like that wasn't going to happen, so I just sad and fumed at myself and Ms. Lamont.
When the bell was about to ring, and people were lining up, she called the two of us over. She basically wanted to know why I had done that, and if I was doing it for anyone else. Then she kind of waited, but we didn't move, so she said she was done with us. I told Michelle later outside that that wait was probably her expecting an apology, but she wasn't getting it from me. I honestly wasn't sorry, and I'd do it again if I got the chance. I guess we're not her "Lost Fan" people to talk to anymore, I wonder how she'll treat us on Monday.
That's all for now, I'm going to go watch Grandma's Boy, and then Hostel.
