Amusing Thoughts About the Strange Emotinal States of Humans
Preapre for bashing of the human race because we friggin' deserve it.
Okay, this is a sort of reprise to the last entry I wrote about the whole 'I don't get God' concept I had.

Now, I do get God. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

Anyways, I realized that maybe I was probably a little bit prejudiced against the Christians (okay, that sounds REALLY funny...) and I should probably ammend that.

First of all, I should've read the whole Bible first. That might've helped. However, the Bible also says stuff like 'women, submit to your husband, blah blah blah' which is, frankly, cramping my style. I'm a pretty independent woman, and to have someone say "SUBMIT" to me and it's NOT on a forum button, it might make me a little bit angry.

Second of all, not all of them are bad, and not all of them are ironclad in any one single belief. There are all types of different beliefs in Christianity alone, be it Protestant, Catholic, Baptist, whatever. Honestly, though, the church I'm going to has no denomination whatsoever.

Third, God's probably somewhere out there. Somewhere. Far away. On his own little other project planet. In the fringes of the Universe (if there is such a thing). And so forth, and so forth, but that doesn't MEAN that I'm probably going to praise him all the time. I don't know, it just makes me feel like if God's some great person, and he's humble, and good, and all that junk, sure we can show we appreciate him but... eh, singing and all that stuff? It sort of makes me feel a little silly. And it takes A LOT to make me feel silly.

However, my youth group has a lot of indepth conversation (well, one-sided conversation) about a lot of controversial and contradictory stuff. Like free will and predestination. If you don't know what the latter is, it is the pre-planning of your life to a certain place or become a certain person. That sort of stuff. It's sort of helped me sort out a lot of things, especially seeing as my youth councillor's been to, like, EVERYWHERE and studied a lot of different religions.

So, okay, I shouldn't have ragged all on the people with the crosses and all that. Though I still think some of them are plain gaga over God. There's a limit, folks.
