More than half of my teachers were out sick today. It was kind of a relief, but I was also worried about it, so sue me, I respect some teachers. I prefer the wisdom type more than the intelligent ones. The kind that actually make you think about what you've learned rather than drill you with information you're going to cram in your mind the day before the test and then forget about the very next day.
I had a FBLA meeting today. We had to learn this silly little pledge for our induction. We also recieved a list of things we had to perform this year as FBLA members to receive special membership in March. I'm not sure how that will apply to us in the future or what it means, but it sounds like fun to accomplish these challenges, so I'm up for it even for the sake of doing it. The main point of the meet, however was obviously the Fundraising information.
We have to earn some money to go to the State competition in Spring, so we're selling all these products from this compant called The Cookie Dough Man. The guy on the picture looks like someone tried to make a cookie out of his face with a roller pin, but the stuff they're selling looks pretty good. It's an assortment of cookies, pizzas, cheesecakes, all that good stuff that makes your stomach hurt and your teeth cry.
I've already got a few purchases from teachers and students under my belt. Sonja wants to buy the fudge, and I have a few takers for the cheesecake. They're only giving us like 2 weeks to do everything, which isn't nearly enough time to get enough money. They tried to encourage us by giving us $100 if we break the record for most sold items, which is 168.
Whoever actually wasted their time selling that much stuff must have had cookie dough for brains.
