The wheel of time always turns.... and so do I.....
What is it in the mind that makes the urge to control another human being so strong?
What allows us to be that cruel to another adult, let alone drag children into the mix?
Are we really able to just toss aside out morals and justify it in our own heads in an attempt to allow our id to take control?
Is there no super ego in the min of a control freak?
Why is it that, when ever they can feel control slipping away, they resort to one of the 8 defense mechanisms EXCEPT for sublimation?
What would have has to have happened to make such a destructive mindset as to want to completely and utterly tear some one down until there's nothing left?
And why will no one do anything to stop it?
Why does it take someone new to find it and start to pick at it until everything goes to hell?
How can those, already involved, even begin to perceive that this is something they can ignore?
Why when it is destroying a loved one?
We say we value family and love over anything.
If that's so true, then why can family make excuses about “more important plans” in order to not help out the family member in need?
What allows people to turn a blind eye to emotional and mental abuse?
What makes it “socially acceptable” enough to ignore?
And on the other side, what in the mind makes it right to allow someone this much control over us?
Where does this even come from?
The id?
The superego?
The ego?
An outer locust of control perhaps?
Where, for anyone, in the mind is the need to feel like complete and total crap come from?
It's certainly NOT enjoyable, so what allows this to go on?
What creates the fear that keeps a person in such a destructive environment?
What makes us try to keep promises we clearly can't keep anymore?
Why do we accept a lie for the truth even though we know better?
Why do we allow people to play with us so cruelly?
What allows us to hate?
Why do we stay with those that hate?
Why put ourselves in those situations?
Why play mind games with those we're supposed to love?
Why are people so naturally cruel?!

Religion. *cough* Temporal lobe I believe. *chuckles*

Love the Psychology terms.

My opinion: What we've grown accustom to and what we expect allows us to resign to abuses and overlook certain instances. Like to some people, chastising is a way of betterment while others perceive that as cruel. It depends on the society really. Who's in the majority? Who surrounded you and gave you the ideas you have? Are you content with those ideas? It depends on the individual and the individual makes up the whole.

And to other points, people do cruel things as brash reactions. (Personal opinion) Rarely does someone plot to hurt another. A series of brain connections gives them a thought that he/she may like.As a result, they act on it because it seems like a good idea, whether it be shouting or cheating.

I don't know what to say. I'm sorry. I guess it's just the way people are? We become desensitized to this kind of stuff? I don't know.
