Damn, what a weekend. I have a lot of stuff to go on about, so let's get started.
Well, Friday morning was quite hectic, I barely made it to the bus on time, and getting on, I realized today was supposed to be 60's day at school, and you were supposed to dress like a hippie. This disappointed me for liek 2 seconds, until I realized I don't have any hippie-ish clothes anyway. The thought also came to me that this is the day they do that "Every 15 Minutes" thing. It's some kind of memorandum event they do at school here, where every 15 minutes during school, a little buzzer goes off over the PA system, which signifies that another teenager has died of drunk driving. Student Council goes around painting random people's faces white, to illustrate how of course this could be anyone you know that would die, and I think someone from our school did actually die from a drunk driver recently, but no one really said anything. The person whose face is white can't talk or speak with anyone except a teacher of course.
One of the kids who's like head of the SC was Brian, who's the VP for FBLA. Apparently he had a Grim Reaper costume, and was heading this event. He seemed a bit too excited to be doing it though, when you're supposed to be thinking about people dying. Turns out that statement was kind of hypocritical later, but I'll explain in a bit.
Got there, checked in with everyone at the table, walked aroud looking for Marissa to give her the tie she needed for her T.V. Productions assignment. Couldn't find her, tried to get into Ms. Shugar's class like 5 times during Opportunity Period to see if she had my missing notebook. Finally got it back when I spotted her in the hall, grabbed the notebook, couldn't find Marissa so I gave up, went back to the table just as the bell rang.
Government was nothing really, we finished the Commander In Chief episode, then had discussion, that I didn't really take part in, since I was studying for the Algebra test. On my way to class though, Minty had her face painted, and was declared dead. I was so thrilled she got picked that I actually tried talking to her, forgetting she's not allowed to reply. Met up with Amber on the way to class, and we each wished each other good luck.
Man, that test took the whole period, but I worked my a** off, and I'm sure I did good. Mr. Kuhns hasn't put the test on Edline yet though, which suprises me, he's usually on top of things like that. Psychology was nice though, turned in the assignment I'd worked so hard on, got commended for such a good effort, and me and Ms. Klein had some more discussions about stuff, it wasn't as serious as the day before, but now I'm really starting to appreciate these talks we have.
Now, during that class, one of the SC memebers walked in and asked if we wanted to participate in the event, so my hand shot up, and they dragged me off to Mr. Craig's room, and he's like the head teacher for all the school event stuff like that. They pulled out the face paint, but they did a bad job, they wouldn't do all my lips so I looked like a drugged up clown, so I made them fill in parts I wanted, which kind of got them pissed, but hey, I'll never get to do it again, and I want to do it right.
Ms. Shugars was making me put a bullet through my head with these crappy Photoshop tutorials, they're so lame, and now that I'm looking at the final product, it's so bad, we were better off stopping where we were at back on Wednesday. I gave up working on it after a while and just watched Tabitha and took mental notes, trying not to say anything to anyone. After that deal with Josh's Animation teacher, I'm really not liking how we're working in this class now.
The FBLA meet was alright, we're finally on the right track with Fundraisers and preparing for the State Competitions, so I'm happy with how things are going, and I got to discuss stuff about Data Match, even though Amber and Tabitha kept saying I shouldn't have been talking. I must have looked like someone from ICP giving them insight about fundraising.
Composition was nice, we did our Vocabulary tests again, which I studied for during lunch, which I wouldn't have done probably if I couldn't have talked, and Edline says I aced it. She introduced a new Reading Log for SSR, so now we have to keep track of our points now on worksheets, so it's gettig troublesome, I better get all my points quickly. Nobody was really reading though, we have that ability to make Ms. Lamont lose focus and laugh and talk along with us. At the end of the day though, I washed off the paint, cause it was starting to fade and it looked like I was trying to be Goth. While I was in the bathroom I heard the Class President Alex make that announcement explaining the whole concept of what had been going on today.
When I was heading to the bus, I felt bad cause I realized I hadn't got to show Josh or anyone at lunch my face, so I told them about it later, but it wasn't much the same. We tried to make plans about me spending the night at his house on Saturday, but they ended up falling through.
I can't remember why, but when I got home later that day, I had the inclination to spend the night at Russell's, so he asked and I asked, and we got permission, so once everything was clean at my house, I bussed it over there, reading in the dark and almost getting hit by cars. We had both made the plan of going to get pizza once we got there, but we ended up playing Resident Evil 4, so later when it got too late, he called up Dominos for that 5-5-5 deal and we ate with Ryan and watched stand up comics on T.V. We played a couple more games and went on the internet, and when we tried Russell's Bleach game, we finally figured out how to pull off everyone's good moves finally, so now the fight's are a lot better, and we actually like the game.
When it got real late, Russell's mom came home with tons of McDonald's, but I only had like a milkshake and some chicken sandwich, the pizza was a lot. Then when his dad went to sleep I watched some more Bleach on his computer while his mom played Resident Evil and he played Game Boy. Then we went on Gaia some more, and I went commission art hunting, so that was nice, I found some people who would take orders.
Then he tried doing The Mercenaries mini-game and did quite well considering the sucky characters. I fell asleep watching him play.
