Observation #13; Part 1
Mad-ness [mad-nis] -noun
1. the state of being mad; insanity.

The young doctor growled, how long had he been in the small solitary cell? Long enough to forget what he had done.... what had he done? He honestly couldn't remeber, but the madness he had so long tried to fight.... was claiming him. He laughed at the most violent thoughts his mind conjured. He ranted over the happy thoughts, all the ravings of a madman, at least in the eyes of his guards. What had btrought this change across? Obviously his senpai leaving him for that girl..... yes. But... that was years ago. Maka, his senpai's child, was already growing quickly. It must have been the reminder that he himself was not good enough... not for the red head. This idea sickened him... he despised himself already, this only mad it worse.
The young man looked up at the sudden stream of light that flowed into the room, he had to squint, blocking the unwanted light with his chained hands. Oh how he hated the noise that went along with his hands moving. If they had not been shackled, he could live with his life, but the constent reminder drove him insane. Well, they would if he was already long gone. Stein's hair and clothes were dirty, matted, and dotted with a rust colored liquid. Obviously blood. His own, and from the various cuts and bruises he had, it was obvious that they were not self inflicted.
"Stein" a familiar voice muttered, the voice made Stein gasp, he had longed to here that voice, but not now....
The doctor looked at the new deathscythe, he was glaring at him, teal eyes intense. His eyes always changed color with his moods, that concept alone always intrigued the young meister. But now... staring up at the red head.... it was intimidating.
Suddenly, the deathscythe stalked towards him, grabing Stein's collar in his fist and pulling him of the ground, glaring at him. his right arm raised, poised to punch him square in the jaw. "WHAT DID YOU DO STEIN?!" the weapon all but screamed at his former miester. The doctor's eyes widened in fear, his many nights of abuse in the cold cell taking a tole on him.
Stein shook violently in the weapon's firm grasp, then finally muttered. "I-I do not know what I did..." his voice was weak. However, what terrified the weapon, was that it was full of fear. Spirit's eyes softened, noting the trembling doctor infront of him. one of the doctor's eyes were closed tight, waiting for the weapon to hit him, his chained hands splayed out infront of him, trying to protect himself. The scythe noticed the gashed on his former meister's palms, that still bleed weakly. Someone must have thrashed out at him with a knife. Studying the doctor... he realised... that some one must have came in and beaten the doctor, ruthlessly....
Spirit lowered his right hand, the doctor opened his eyes, though he was still shaking. "L-Lets get you home Stein." the scythe said, letting go of the miester's shirt, and taking a pair of keys out of his suit jacket's pocket. Freeing the meister, he let Stein walk infront of himself. The doctor was obviously unstable... this event must have effected him greatly..... he was still shaking, and it made the scythe wonder....
What happened to him down here?
