This week's edition of 'Latin for the Illiterati-- Useful Version' brought to you by my Oxford Latin-English Dictionary, which sucks an orifice, and by Catullus, who did too but not in a bad way.
But first- the news! My mom's gone for three days at a funeral, they're phasing out alkyds at Law's Hobby, I'm still failing Algebra II, I got a kimono, and my rabbit is dying. ...That's sort of a mixed basket, there, but what do you do?
Ahem. When reading Catullus, one often comes across some very...interesting words. This edition is an expository of such words and their definitions.
Ave: Ave means hello.. and goodbye!
Irrumator: Jerk; literally, one who forces others to give them oral sex.
Scortillum: 'little whore'
Cinaedus: Slut; passive one in a sexual relationship
Moechis: Whore-chaser, male adulturer
Omnium: balls
Vecordem: demented
Mala mens: deranged mind
Inguen: groin
Strophium: breast-band
Papilla: n****e
Gods, I love the Latin language.
