Song used, Soldier Side - System of the down.
Dead man lying on the bottom of the grave. Wondering when Savior comes Is he gonna be saved
Stein looked around, dressed in the same uniform as his comrades… the same…exact one. They were like clones, but then again, to their leader.. the one who sent them out here… they are all the same. Useless pieces of the game…ones that can be thrown away easily….
Maybe You're a sinner into your alternate life Maybe you're a joker, maybe you deserve to die
The gray haired man heard a man to his right swear, he turned his head… he knew the man…very well actually. A old school friend of his, and his best friend to this day. Spirit Albarn…. And now the two sat, hiding from the violence around them. Spirit’s knuckles white as he waited, scared… but weren’t they all?
They were crying when their sons left God is wearing black He's gone so far to find no hope He's never coming back
Spirit could remember they day he had told others about what was going on…. Remembering Maka’s face.. She didn’t want her father to leave her… not to go and fight for no reason. That wasn’t what she wanted! Yes, she acted as if she hated him… but deep . . . deep down she actually loved and cared for her Papa quiet a lot. Tears stained her cheeks as she listened to her father, would he be back?
They were crying when their sons left All young men must go He's come so far to find the truth He's never going home
Stein now looked at the red head, who had tears in his teal eyes. It seemed he realized the fact that… none of them would go home… none of them would be able to return to their families…..
Young men standing on the top of their own graves Wondering when Jesus comes Are they gonna be saved
“S-Stein.” Spirit finally choked out, the doctor turning his head to the side. “What will….what will happen to us?” he asked. Stein looked away, noting how many had already fallen to the cruelty of this battle. “I… do not know…senpai.” he said, his voice a shaking whisper. His olive eyes scanned the field in front of them, seeing Justin Law… the young boy collapsed behind a small shelter arm bleeding heavily. Avarice kneeling next to him, digging through her medical equipment.
Cruelty to the winner, Bishop tells the King his lies Maybe you're a mourner, maybe you deserve to die
The doctor shook his head, hearing his senpai break into sad, silent tears. Dull olive eyes scanning the bodies of the fallen, his eyes reflecting his own sadness. His mind was heavy with thoughts. Flooding his mind. ‘Perhaps…. I deserve to die here.. Alone and violently.’ his twisted mind told him.
They were crying when their sons left God is wearing black He's gone so far to find the hope He's never coming back
Spirit suddenly stoped crying, turning to look over the rock wall. “Screw this… screw it all!” he growled, and without another word charged out into the battle. “Senpai!” Stein yelled at him. “Spirit!” he yelled again, before watching the red head get shot down.
They were crying when their sons left All young men must go He's come so far to find no truth He's never going home
Now…now Stein was the one who was running out, hearing Avarice call out to him. He kneeled beside Spirit, who had tears in the corners of his eyes. From pain… or from his sadness….the doctor didn’t know. After dragging the wounded man back to shelter, the doctor looked at him. Digging through his own bag and pressing a rag to the wound on Spirit’s chest. “Come on Spirit. Come on!” he said, applying pressure to the wound. “Please Senpai! Think of Maka! She’s waiting for you!”
Welcome to the Soldier Side Where there's no one here but me People all grow up to die There is no one here but me
“I-I tried Stein… I really did.” the man said, a small sad smile on his lips, before his teal eyes fluttered close. The gray haired man shook his head, leaning down to hear a heartbeat…but it was absent. “Spirit! Spirit!” the doctor yelled, shaking his head wildly. Avarice had come over by this time, looking at Spirit, her own eyes sad now.
Welcome to the Soldier Side Where is no one here but me.
The doctor looked up, his heart full of sorrow, his head fuzzy. He noticed that Justin was in the same place… but… was he still alive? He heard Avarice scream… a bullet had ripped through her arm…. He watched her as she tried to wrap her own arm, before another person hit her. Done…. Done… Stein shook his head, ducking behind the wall of his shelter, his head rested on his senpai’s bloody chest…
People on the Soldier's Side There's no one here but me.
“Your alone Stein… a-all alone… this is what you get! Fighting for a lost case… out numbered… you’re an idiot…” he muttered, his breath ragged while adrenaline flowed through his veins…. “Avarice… Spirit.. Justin…. All of them… gone…” he said shaking his head. Then, he felt it, horrible, horrible pain. That riped through his stomach, causing him to yell out in pain, another ripple of pain, and he could barely breath, his body convulsing blood forming a pool around him. He hacked, more blood joining the puddle at his hands and knees, his body collapsing… his gaze now at the sky…. But then…his world went black.. Just like that.
