Sophia is increasingly brilliant. It's scary, really. I took her swimming on the 14th. My sister, my brother, , the kids, and I went swimming in Rosewood appartments' pool. Sophi was running back and forth from where our stuff was sitting to where I was sitting with the baby. She started toward the deep end of the pool. Naturally, the three of us freaked out. I had the baby, but my siblings started swimming frantically toward where she was headed to catch her. She jumped into the water right before they were within an arm's reach, grabbed onto the wall with both hands to prevent herself from going under, and started laughing- at all of our expense. This child is going to be the death of me; I know it. I've known it for a long while >.< She is speaking so clearly, and uses words beyond her age. According to a run-in at the park (and I may or may not have mentioned this before, but I'm so damn proud I'll say it a hundred times), she's more articulate and vocal than a 4-year-old. She loves playing dress-up, and now, much to Mommy's delight, has started taking an interest in the blocks she has.
Dante is almost three months old, and he lights up the house, including Sophia. He's started smiling; mostly reflexes building, but he does it on cue if you try hard enough. He loves being talked to, bouncing, and sitting in his curved chair to people watch/watch tv/sleep. He's grown to tolerate bath time, and is almost too big for the baby tub. He's got his first pair of tennis shoes, thanks to a trip to Wal-Mart with Mima last week (where Mommy bought Sophi a big bouncy ball as well. There is no favoritism as far as my children are concerned.) He's still on breastmilk, but at the rate he's growing, he'll probably be off it soon. I can barely keep him in my lap, he's so long; and well, there's no denying the fact that he's my Buddha baby. lol
These two love each other so much. She gets really excited to see him, and when she sits with him or in front of him to talk/play, he lights up. His little blue eyes shine and he smiles as big as he can. One can only hope they'll be as well-behaved and lovable later on.
