BATTLE INFO
Ki use- Unlike his forefathers, Whom were all master swordsmen, Munashii has learned to harness and use the spiritual energies known as "Ki", He uses it for anything from combatting evil spirits whom cannot become harmed by conventinal means to simply augmenting the killing power of his blade. When channeling KI his body is covered with an unearthly dark black "glow"
Sesshou Kaku, Literally meaning "Killing stroke.": A technique created by Munashii, Concentrating all of his killing intent into his blade Munashii channels his KI from the around his body unto the surface of the blade, Thus augmenting it's killing/Cutting prowess.
Ono-ha Ittō-ryū Sword style training- Having been trained in the same traditional sword style of his forefathers, Munashii's skill have been refined over the 16 years of his training.
Shinsengumi-Kenjutsu,"Hirazuki" (left-handed stab) or more formely known as the Gatotsu: A technique passed down from generation to generation, The gatotsu was a technique mastered by Saito Hajime, Munashii's forefather whom was in the shinsengumi in the 1600's. This left handed technique requires years of practice in order to master but it seems Munashii has nearly perfected it after a few years of training with it, Even though he is right handed.
Stances for the Gatotsu:
The First Stance (Ishiki) is the standard, shoulder-level ground attack. He prepares by dropping into a partial crouch, both knees bent, left arm drawn back and right extended forward; he grasps the kashira (endcap of the tsuka, or hilt) of his sword with his left hand and rests the tips of the fingers of his right hand (usually the thumb) on the blade near its tip.
The Second Stance (Nishiki) is a downward-striking attack. The direction of the Nishiki thrust is narrower, as well. The prepartion is the same as the first stance, The aim for the Nishiki is just aimed lower toward the ground, Normally used in the air to hit a grounded opponent.
The Third Stance (Sanshiki) is an upward-striking attack. Prepared identically to the Ishiki, he uses it to intercept an opponent assaulting him from above, directing his blade into the air instead of immediately forward.
Hand to hand training- Besides his overwhelming ability with a sword, Munashii is extremely well-versed in hand-to-hand combat. His fighting style most resembles Boxing as he possesses moderate footwork, defense, and placing the emphasis on speed and power.
