I was thinking about the LI thread, and I realized something. There are 3 kinds of people who post there, and 3 kinds of people who reply to those posts. Here they are:
People who post their problems are generally in one of these groups: 1. People who don't have problems, but still need someone to listen to them. 2. Emo kids that don't know how to vent. 3. People who actually have serious problems.
And people who respond are generally in one of these groups: 1. People who think they're helping, but really aren't because they don't understand. 2. People who understand, but can't help because they're going through the same thing. 3. People who are assholes, and may or may not understand, but don't care.
It's pretty interesting to think about. I don't think it's fair for poeple to say no one's problems are worse then theirs, or no one has any real problems on LI. Even if their problems aren't that serious, maybe they just need someone to listen, and not be an a**, or try to give useless advice. The best thing you can do is listen, and the worst is to undermine them.
But it doesn't matter, because no one will read this journal entry anyway. It's really too bad. I'll have to spread the word somehow.
